HMC232AHMC232 / HMC232LP4 / HMC232G8 / HMC232G7 / HMC232C8 | Development Boards, Kits, Programmers | 8 | Active | The HMC232 is a broadband nonreflective GaAs MESFET SPDT MMIC chip and a broadband high isolation nonreflective GaAs MESFET SPDT switch in a hermetic or nonhermetic surface-mount ceramic package or in a low cost leadless QFN surface-mount plastic package. Covering DC to 15 GHz, the switch features more than 60 dB isolation at lower frequencies and more than 45 dB at higher frequencies due to the implementation of on-chip via hole structures. The switch operates using two negative control voltage logic lines (A and B) of −5/0 V and requires no Vee or bias supply. Alternate A and B control pads are provided to ease MIC implementation. All data shown are tested with the chip in a 50 Ω test fixture connected via 0.025 mm (1 mil) diameter wire bonds of 0.5 mm (20 mils) length. Input P1dB compression is 27 dBm typical, whereas Input IP3 is 50 dBm. This product is a form, fit, and functional replacement for the HMC132.ApplicationsFiber opticsMicrowave radios and VSATMilitary radios, radar, and ECMSpace systemsTest equipmentTest instrumentationTelecom infrastructure |
HMC241ALP3EGaAs, Nonreflective, SP4T Switch 100 MHz to 4 GHz | Evaluation Boards | 5 | Active | The HMC241ALP3E is a general-purpose, nonreflective, 100 MHz to 4 GHz single-pole, four-throw (SP4T) switch manufactured using a gallium arsenide (GaAs) process. This switch offers high isolation of 43 dB typical at 2 GHz, low insertion loss of 0.7 dB at 2 GHz, and on-chip termination of the isolated ports. The on-chip circuitry allows the HMC241ALP3E to operate at a single, positive supply voltage range of 3 V to 5 V. This switch requires two positive logic control voltages. The HMC241ALP3E includes an on-chip, binary two to four line decoder that provides logic control from two logic input lines to select one of the four radio frequency (RF) lines. The HMC241ALP3E is available in a 3 mm × 3 mm, 16-lead LFCSP package. The HMC7992 is the silicon version of this switch and features better performance up to higher frequencies.APPLICATIONSCellular/4 G infrastructureWireless infrastructureAutomotive telematicsMobile radiosTest equipment |
HMC244AGaAs MMIC SP4T Non-Reflective Switch, DC - 4 GHz | Development Boards, Kits, Programmers | 3 | Active | The HMC244AG16 is a non-reflective SP4T switch in a 16 lead glass/metal (hermetic) package. Covering DC to 4 GHz, the switch offers 30~50 dB isolation and a low insertion loss of 0.9 dB through 3 GHz. A 2:4 TTL/CMOS compatible decoder is integrated on the switch requiring only 2 control lines and a positive 5V bias to select each path, replacing 8 control lines normally required by GaAs SP4T switches.ApplicationsTelecom infrastructureMilitary radios, radar and ECMSpace applicationsTest instrumentation |
HMC247-DIE400° Analog Phase Shifter Chip, 5 - 18 GHz | RF Misc ICs and Modules | 1 | Active | The HMC247 is an Analog Phase Shifter die which is controlled via an analog control voltage from 0 to +10V. The HMC247 provides a continuously variable phase shift of 0 to 300 degrees at 9 GHz, and 0 to 100 degrees at 18 GHz, with consistent insertion loss versus phase shift. The phase shift is monotonic with respect to the control voltage. The control port has a modulation bandwidth of 50 MHz. The low insertion loss and compact size enable this part to be used in a wide range of applications, including the phase adjustment of clocks in fiber optic systems and test equipment. All data is measured with the chip in a 50 ohm test fixture, connected via 0.076 mm (3 mil) ribbon bonds of minimal length <0.31 mm (<12 mils).ApplicationsFiber OpticsMilitaryTest Equipment |

HMC253ALC4GaAs MMIC SP8T Non-reflective Switch SMT, DC to 3.5 GHz | RF Evaluation and Development Kits, Boards | 4 | Active | The HMC253ALC4 is a non-reflective SP8T switch in a leadless RoHS compliant 4x4 mm ceramic SMT package featuring wideband operation from DC to 3.5 GHz. The switch offers a single positive bias and true TTL/CMOS compatibility enabling it to operate with 0/+3V control and a +5V supply. A 3:8 decoder is integrated on the switch requiring only 3 control lines and a positive bias to select each path. The HMC253ALC4 SP8T will replace multiple configurations of SP4T and SPDT MMIC switches.ApplicationsBasestations & RepeatersWiMAX/WiBro, and Fixed WirelessCellular/3G infrastructureCATV/DBSMilitary & Hi-Rel |

HMC260A-Die10 GHz to 26 GHz, GaAs MMIC Fundamental Mixer | Development Boards, Kits, Programmers | 5 | Active | The HMC260A is a general-purpose, double balanced mixer chip that can be used as an upconverter or downconverter from 10 GHz to 26 GHz. This miniature monolithic mixer (MMIC) requires no external components or matching circuitry. The HMC260A provides excellent LO to RF and LO to IF suppression due to optimized balun structures. The mixer operates well with LO drive levels of 13 dBm or above. The HMC260A is also available in SMT format as theHMC260ALC3B.ApplicationsPoint to point radiosPoint to multipoint radios and very small aperture terminals (VSATs)Test equipment and sensorsMilitary end use |
HMC263LP4EGaAs MMIC Low Noise Amplifier, 24 - 36 GHz | RF and Wireless | 2 | Active | The HMC263 chip is a GaAs MMIC Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) which covers the frequency range of 24 to 36 GHz. The chip can easily be integrated into Multi-Chip Modules (MCMs) due to its small (3.29 mm²) size. The chip utilizes a GaAs PHEMT process offering 22 dB gain from a single bias supply of +3V @ 58 mA with a noise figure of 2 dB. All data is with the chip in a 50 ohm test fixture connected via 0.076 mm (3 mil) diameter ribbon bonds of minimal length 0.31 mm (<12 mils). The HMC263 may be used in conjunction with HMC264 or HMC265 mixers to realize a millimeterwave system receiver.ApplicationsMillimeterwave Point-to-Point RadiosLMDSVSATSATCOM |
HMC264LC3BSub Harmonic Mixer SMT, 21 - 31 GHz | Development Boards, Kits, Programmers | 3 | Active | The HMC264LC3B is a 21 - 31 GHz Sub-harmonically Pumped (x2) MMIC Mixer with an integrated LO amplifier in a leadless "Pb Free" SMT package. The 2LO to RF isolation is excellent at 30 dB, eliminating the need for additional filtering. The LO amplifier is a single bias (+3V to +4V) design with only -4 to +4 dBm drive requirement. The RF and LO ports are DC blocked and matched to 50 Ohms for ease of use while the IF covers DC to 6 GHz. The HMC264LC3B eliminates the need for wire bonding, allowing use of surface mount manufacturing techniques.APPLICATIONSPoint-to-Point RadiosPoint-to-Multi-Point Radios & VSATTest Equipment & SensorsMilitary End-Use |
