The CM1293A family of diode arrays has been designed to provide ESD protection for electronic components or subsystems requiring minimal capacitive loading. These devices are ideal for protecting systems with high data and clock rates or for circuits requiring low capacitive loading. Each ESD channel consists of a pair of diodes in series that steer the positive or negative ESD current pulse to either the positive (VP) or negative (VN) supply rail. A Zener diode is embedded between VP and VN which helps protect the VCC rail against ESD strikes. The CM1293A protects against ESD pulses up to ±8kV contact discharge per the IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 standard. This device is particularly well-suited for protecting systems using high-speed ports such as USB2.0, IEEE1394 (Firewire®, iLink™), Serial ATA, DVI, HDMI, and corresponding ports in removable storage, digital camcorders, DVD-RW drives and other applications where extremely low loading capacitance with ESD protection are required in a small package footprint. The CM1293A family of devices is available with RoHS-compliant, lead-free finishing.

The CM1400-03 is a six channel low-pass filter array that reduces EMI/RFI emissions while at the same time providing ESD protection. It is used on data ports on mobile devices. To reduce EMI/RFI emissions, the CM1400-03 integrates a pi-style filter for each of the 6 channels. Each high quality filter provides greater than 30 dB attenuation in the 800-2700 MHz range relative to the pass band attenuation. These pi-style filters also support bidirectional filtering, controlling EMI both to and from a data port connector.

The CM1401-03 is a multichannel array with four low-pass filter + ESD channels and four ESD-only channels. The CM1401-03 reduces EMI/RFI emissions on a data port and protects against ESD on a USB port. Each EMI/RFI channel integrates a high quality pi-style filter (C-R-C) that provides greater than 30 dB attenuation in the 800 to 2700 MHz range relative to the pass band attenuation. These pi-style filters are bidirectional, controlling EMI both to and from a data port connector.

The CM1408 is a pi-style EMI filter array with ESD protection, which integrates eight filters (C-R-C) in a small form factor, TDFN 0.50mm pitch package. The CM1408 has component values of 8.5pF-100 Ω -8.5pF per channel. The CM1408 has a high cut-off frequency and can be used in applications with data rates up to 44 Mbps. The parts include ESD diodes on every pin, which provide a very high level of protection for sensitive electronic components against electrostatic discharge (ESD). The ESD protected diodes safely dissipate ESD strikes of ±15 kV, which even exceeds the maximum requirement of the IEC61000-4-2 international standard. The CM1426 is a family of pi-style EMI filter arrays with ESD protection, which integrates four, six and eight filters (C-R-C) in a Chip Scale Package with 0.50mm pad pitch. The CM1426 has component values of 8.5pF-100 Ohm-8.5pF per channel. The CM1426 has a cut-off frequency of 230MHz and can be used in applications where the data rates are as high as 92Mbps. The parts include avalanche-type ESD diodes on every pin that provide a very high level of protection for sensitive electronic components against possible ESD strikes.
