A5973ADUp to 1.5 A step-down switching regulator for automotive applications | Voltage Regulators - DC DC Switching Regulators | 1 | Active | The A5973AD is a step-down monolithic power switching regulator with a minimum switch current limit of 1.8 A, so it is able to deliver up to 1.5 A DC current to the load depending on the application conditions. The output voltage can be set from 1.235 V to VIN. The high current level is also achieved thanks to an HSOP8 package with an exposed frame, that allows to reduce the Rth(JA)down to approximately 40 °C/W. The device uses an internal P-channel DMOS transistor (with a typical RDS(on)of 250 mΩ) as a switching element to minimize the size of the external components. An internal oscillator fixes the switching frequency at 500 kHz. Having a minimum input voltage of 4 V only it fits the automotive applications requiring the device operation even in cold crank conditions. A pulse-by-pulse current limit with the internal frequency modulation offers an effective constant current short-circuit protection. |
A5973DUp to 2 A step down switching regulator for automotive applications | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | 1 | Active | The A5973D is a step-down monolithic power switching regulator with a minimum switch current limit of 2.25 A so it is able to deliver up to 2 A DC current to the load depending on the application conditions. The output voltage can be set from 1.235 V to 35 V. The high current level is also achieved thanks to an HSOP8 package with exposed frame, that allows to reduce the Rth(JA)down to approximately 40 °C/W. The device uses an internal P-channel DMOS transistor (with a typical RDS(on)of 250 mΩ) as switching element to minimize the size of the external components. Having a minimum input voltage of 4 V only it fits the automotive applications requiring the device operation even in cold crank conditions. A pulse-by-pulse current limit with the internal frequency modulation offers an effective constant current short-circuit protection. |
A5975ADUp to 2.5 A step down switching regulator for automotive applications | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | 1 | Active | The A5975AD is a step-down monolithic power switching regulator with a minimum switch current limit of 3.1 A, it is therefore able to deliver up to 2.5 A DC current to the load depending on the application conditions. The output voltage can be set from 1.235 V to 35 V. The high current level is also achieved thanks to a HSOP8 package with exposed frame, that allows to reduce the RTHJ-A down to approximately 40 °C/W. The device uses an internal P-channel DMOS transistor (with a typical RDS(on) of 250 mΩ) as switching element to minimize the size of the external components. An internal oscillator fixes the switching frequency at 500 kHz. Having a minimum input voltage ofonly 4 V, it fits automotive applications requiring device operation even in cold crank conditions. Pulse-by-pulse current limit with the internal frequency modulation offers an effective constant current short-circuit protection. |
A5975DUp to 3 A step down switching regulator for automotive applications | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | 1 | Active | The A5975D is a step-down monolithic power switching regulator with a minimum switch current limit of 3.75 A, it is therefore able to deliver up to 3 A DC current to the load depending on the application conditions. An internal oscillator fixes the switching frequency at 250 kHz. Having a minimum input voltage of only 4 V, it fits automotive applications requiring device operation even in cold crank conditions. Pulse-by-pulse current limit with the internal frequency modulation offers an effective constant current short-circuit protection. |
A6387High-voltage high and low side driver for automotive applications | Gate Drivers | 2 | Active | The A6387 is a high voltage device, manufactured with the BCD™ "offline" technology. It is a single chip half-bridge gate driver for N-channel Power MOSFETs or IGBTs. The high-side (floating) section is designed to stand a voltage rail of up to 550 V. The logic inputs are CMOS/TTL compatible for easy interfacing of the microcontroller or DSP. |
A6727Single-phase PWM controller for automotive applications | DC DC Switching Controllers | 2 | Active | The A6727 is a single-phase step-down controller with integrated high-current drivers that provides complete control logic, protection and reference voltage to realize a general DC-DC converter by using a compact SO-8 package. The device flexibility allows the management of conversions with power input VINas low as 1.5 V and device supply voltage in the range of 5 V to 12 V.
The A6727 provides simple control loop with voltage mode error-amplifier. The integrated 0.8 V reference allows the regulation of output voltages with ±1% accuracy over line and temperature variations. The oscillator is internally fixed to 300 kHz.
The A6727 provides programmable overcurrent protection as well as over and undervoltage protection. The current information is monitored across the low-side MOSFET RDS(on)saving the use of expensive and space-consuming sense resistors while output voltage is monitored through FB pin.
FB disconnection protection prevents excessive and dangerous output voltages from floating FB pin. |

A6902DUp to 1 A step down switching regulator with adjustable current limit for automotive applications | Power Management (PMIC) | 1 | Active | The A6902D is a complete step down switching regulator with adjustable current limit. Based on a voltage mode structure it integrates an additional current error amplifier to implement both a constant voltage and constant current control.
The current limit programming is very simple and accurate (± 5%) selecting the proper sensing resistor.
The DC-DC converter can be used either as a voltage source with adjustable current limit (set by using the external sense resistor) or as current source to charge NiMH / NiCd batteries or drive voltage load like LEDs.
The internal P-Channel DMOS transistor (typ. RDSON250 mΩ) assures high efficiency and minimum dropout even at high output current level. |
A6983Automotive-grade 38 V, 3 A synchronous step-down converter with 25 µA quiescent current | Development Boards, Kits, Programmers | 8 | Active | The A6983I is a device specifically designed for isolated buck topology. The primary output voltage can be accurately adjusted, whereas the isolated secondary output is derived by using a given transformer ratio. No optocoupler is required. The primary sink capability up to -4.5 A (even during soft-start) allows a proper energy transfer to the secondary side, as well as enables a tracked soft-start of the secondary output. The control loop is based on a peak current mode architecture and the device operates in forced PWM. The 390 ns blanking time filters oscillations, generated by the transformer leakage inductance, makes the solution more robust.
Both the compact QFN-16 (3x3 mm) package and the internal compensation of the A6983I help minimizing the design complexity and size.
The switching frequency can be programmed in the 200 kHz to 1 MHz range with an optional spread spectrum for improved EMC.
The EN pin provides a enable/disable functionality. The typical shutdown current is 2 μA when disabled. As soon as the EN pin is pulled-up, the device is enabled and the internal 1.3 ms soft-start takes place. The A6983I features a Power Good open collector that monitors the FB voltage. Pulse by pulse current sensing on both power elements implements an effective constant current protection and thermal shutdown prevents thermal runaway. |
