TC426Dual 1.5 A MOSFET Gate Driver | Gate Drivers | 5 | Active | The TC426/TC427/TC428 are dual CMOS high-speed gate drivers. A TTL/CMOS input voltage level is translated into a rail-to-rail output voltage level swing. The CMOS output is within 25 mV of ground or positive supply. The low impedance, high-current gate driver outputs swing a 1,000 pF load 18 V in 30 ns. The unique current and voltage drive qualities make the TC426/TC427/TC428 ideal power MOSFET gate drivers, line drivers, and DC-to-DC converter building blocks. Input logic signals may equal the power supply voltage. Low input current 1 µA, making direct interface to CMOS/bipolar switch-mode power supply control ICs possible, as well as open-collector analog comparators. Quiescent power supply current is 8 mA maximum. The TC426 requires 1/5 the current of the pin-compatible bipolar DS0026 device. This is important in DC-to-DC converter applications with power efficiency constraints and high-frequency switch-mode power supply applications. Quiescent current is typically 6 mA when driving a 1,000 pF load 18 V at 100 kHz.

TC4296 A MOSFET Gate Driver | Gate Drivers | 5 | Active | The TC429 is a high-speed, single output, CMOS-level translator and gate driver. Designed specifically to drive highly capacitive power MOSFET gates, the TC429 features 2.5 Ω output impedance and 6 A peak output current drive. This device can typically switch a 2,500 pF capacitive load in 25 ns, with a typical delay time through the device of 60 ns. Rapidly switching the load will minimize MOSFET transition power loss. The device will accept TTL and CMOS input logic voltages, or any voltage input up to 18 V without damage, producing an output signal which will swing within 25 mV of the power rails. Logic input current is under 10 µA, making direct interface to CMOS/bipolar switch-mode power supply controllers easy, input "speed-up" capacitors are not required, and the CMOS design minimizes quiescent power supply current requirements. For noninverting applications, or applications requiring latch-up protection, see the MCP1406/7 data sheet. |
