LP3964800-mA, low-dropout voltage regulator with enable & sense | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | 22 | Active | The LP396x series of fast ultra-low-dropout linear regulators operate from a 2.5-V to 7-V input supply. A wide range of preset output voltage options are available. These ultra-low dropout linear regulators respond very fast to step changes in load which makes them suitable for low-voltage microprocessor applications. The LP3961 and LP3964 are developed on a CMOS process which allows low quiescent current operation independent of output load current, as well as operation under extremely low dropout conditions.
Dropout Voltage:Ultra-low dropout voltage; typically 24 mV at 80-mA load current and 240 mV at 800-mA load current.
Ground Pin Current:Typically 4 mA at 800-mA load current.
ERRORFlag:ERRORflag goes low when the output voltage drops 10% below nominal value (for LP3961).
SENSE:SENSE pin improves regulation at remote loads (for LP3964).
Precision Output Voltage:Multiple output voltage options are available ranging from 1.2 V to 5 V and adjustable (LP3964), with a specified accuracy of ±1.5% at room temperature, and ±3% over all conditions (varying line, load, and temperature).

LP3981300-mA, high-accuracy, low-dropout voltage regulator with enable | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | 29 | Active | Performance of the LP3981 device is optimized for battery-powered systems to deliver ultra-low-noise, extremely low dropout voltage, and low quiescent current. Regulator ground current increases only slightly in dropout, further prolonging the battery life.
Power supply rejection is better than 60 dB at low frequencies. This high power supply rejection is maintained down to lower input voltage levels common to battery-operated circuits.
The device is ideal for mobile phone and similar battery-powered wireless applications. It provides up to 300 mA, from a 2.5-V to 6-V input, consuming less than 1 µA in disable mode.
The LP3981 is available in 8-pin VSSOP-8 and 6-pin WSON packages. Performance is specified for −40°C to +125°C temperature range. The device available in the following output voltages: 2.5 V, 2.7 V, 2.8 V, 2.83 V, 3 V, 3.03 V and 3.3 V as standard. Other output options can be made available; contact your local TI sales office for more information.
