DS1340CI²C RTC with Trickle Charger | Clock/Timing | 1 | Active | The DS1340 is a real-time clock (RTC)/calendar that is pin compatible and functionally equivalent to the ST M41T00, including the software clock calibration. The device additionally provides trickle-charge capability on the VBACKUPpin, a lower timekeeping voltage, and an oscillator STOP flag. Block access of the register map is identical to the ST device. Two additional registers, which are accessed individually, are required for the trickle charger and flag. The clock/calendar provides seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information. A built-in power-sense circuit detects power failures and automatically switches to the backup supply. The device is programmed serially through an I²C bidirectional bus.ApplicationsMedical EquipmentPoint-of-Sale EquipmentPortable InstrumentationTelecommunications |
DS1341Low-Current I²C RTCs for High-ESR Crystals | Clock/Timing | 4 | Active | The DS1341/DS1342 low-current real-time clocks (RTCs) are timekeeping devices that provide an extremely low standby current, which permits longer life from a power supply. The DS1341/DS1342 support high-ESR crystals, which broaden the pool of usable crystals for the devices. The DS1341 uses a 6pF crystal, while the DS1342 uses a 12.5pF crystal. These devices are accessed through an I²C serial interface. Other features include two time-of-day alarms, two interrupt outputs, a programmable square-wave output, and a serial bus timeout mechanism. The clock/calendar provides seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information. The date at the end of the month is automatically adjusted for months with fewer than 31 days, including corrections for leap year. The clock operates in either 24hr or 12hr format with an AM/PM indicator. The DS1341/DS1342 also include an input for synchronization. When a reference clock (e.g., 60Hz power line or GPS 1PPS) is present at the CLKIN pin and the enable external clock input bit (ECLK) is set to 1, the DS1341/DS1342 RTCs are frequency-locked to the external clock and the clock accuracy is determined by the external source. In case of external clock failure, the clock is switched to the crystal oscillator. The devices are available in lead(Pb)-free/RoHS-compliant, 8-pin µSOP or TDFN packages. The devices support a -40°C to +85°C extended temperature range.ApplicationsMedicalPoint of Sale (POS)Portable AudioPortable InstrumentsTelematics |
DS1342Low-Current I²C RTCs for High-ESR Crystals | Real Time Clocks | 3 | Active | The DS1341/DS1342 low-current real-time clocks (RTCs) are timekeeping devices that provide an extremely low standby current, which permits longer life from a power supply. DS1344Low-Current SPI/3-Wire RTCs | Clock/Timing | 12 | Active | The DS1343/DS1344 low-current real-time clocks (RTCs) are timekeeping devices that provide an extremely low standby current, permitting longer life from a backup supply source. The devices also support high-ESR crystals, broadening the pool of usable crystals for the devices. The clock/calendar provides seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information. The date at the end of the month is automatically adjusted for months with fewer than 31 days, including corrections for leap year. The clock operates in either 24-hour or 12-hour format with an active-low AM/PM indicator.Address and data are transferred serially through an SPI™ or 3-wire interface. Two programmable time-of-day alarms are provided. Each alarm can generate an interrupt on a combination of seconds, minutes, hours, and day. Don't-care states can be inserted into one or more fields if it is desired for them to be ignored for the alarm condition. The time-of-day alarms can be programmed to assert two different interrupt outputs, or they can be combined to assert one common interrupt output. Both interrupt outputs operate when the device is powered by either VCCor VBAT.The devices are available in a lead-free/RoHS-compliant, 20-pin TSSOP or 14-pin TDFN package, and support a -40°C to +85°C extended industrial temperature range.ApplicationsEmbedded TimestampingHandheld DevicesMedicalTelematics |

DS1345W3.3V 1024k Nonvolatile SRAM with Battery Monitor | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | 5 | Obsolete | The DS1345W 3.3V 1024k NV SRAM is a 1,048,576-bit, fully static, nonvolatile SRAM organized as 131,072 words by 8 bits. Each NV SRAM has a self-contained lithium energy source and control circuitry, which constantly monitors VCCfor an out-of-tolerance condition. When such a condition occurs, the lithium energy source is automatically switched on and write protection is unconditionally enabled to prevent data corruption. Additionally, the DS1345W has dedicated circuitry for monitoring the status of VCCand the status of the internal lithium battery. DS1345W devices in the PowerCap Module package are directly surface mountable and are normally paired with a DS9034PC PowerCap to form a complete Nonvolatile SRAM module. The devices can be used in place of 128k x 8 SRAM, EEPROM or Flash components. |
