MCP1633150V/1A, Non-Synchronous Buck Regulator | Power Management (PMIC) | 2 | Active | The MCP16331 is a highly integrated, high-efficiency, fixed frequency, step-down DC-DC converter in a popular 6-pin SOT-23 or 8-pin TDFN 2x3 package that operates from input voltage sources up to 50V. Integrated features include a high side switch, fixed frequency Peak Current Mode Control, internal compensation, peak current limit and overtemperature protection. Minimal external components are necessary to develop a complete step-down DC-DC converter power supply. |
MCP1636148V Input, 2.2MHz, PFM/PWM, Buck Regulator | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | 1 | Active | The MCP16361/2/3 family of devices are highly integrated, high-efficiency, fixed-frequency, step-down DC-DC converters in a compact 8-lead 3x3 mm VDFN wettable flank package that operates from input voltage sources up to 48V. Integrated features include a high-side switch, fixed-frequency Peak Current Mode Control, Internal Compensation, Power Good, Peak Current Limit and Overtemperature Protection. The MCP16361/2/3 provides all the active functions for local DC-DC conversion, with fast transient response and accurate regulation.
High efficiency conversion is achieved by integrating the current-limited, low-resistance, high-speed N-Channel MOSFET and associated drive circuitry. High switching frequency minimizes the size of external filtering components resulting in a small size solution.
The MCP16361/2/3 can supply 3A of continuous current while regulating the output voltage from 2.0V to 24V. An integrated, high-performance peak current mode architecture keeps the output voltage tightly regulated, even during input voltage steps and output current transient conditions that are common in power systems.
The MCP16361 is capable of running in PFM/PWM mode. It switches in PFM mode for light load conditions and for large buck conversion ratios. This results in a higher efficiency over all load ranges.
Output voltage is set with an external resistor divider. The Power Good output pin will go from logic low to logic high (through an external pull-up resistor) once the output voltage is within 92% of the nominal set point.
The EN input is used to turn the device on and off. While off, only a few micro-amps of current are consumed from the input.
The MCP16361/2/3 is offered in a space-saving 8-lead 3x3 mm VDFN wettable flanks surface mount package |
MCP1640500kHz 800mA Isw Synchronous PFM/PWM Boost Regulator | DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS Evaluation Boards | 11 | Active | The MCP1640/40B/40C/40D is a compact, high-efficiency, fixed frequency, synchronous step-up DC-DC converter. It provides an easy-to-use power supply solution for applications powered by either one-cell, two-cell, or three-cell alkaline, NiCd, NiMH, one-cell Li-Ion or Li-Polymer batteries. The MCP1640/40B/40C/40D provides very high efficiency through integration of the low resistance N-Channel Boost switch and synchronous P-Channel switch. |
MCP16411Low IQ Boost Converter with Auto Bypass | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | 4 | Active | The MCP16411 is a Boost regulator from the MCP1641X family of low quiescent
current boost converters with integrated status indicators and wide input
voltage range for a variety of battery powered applications. The regulator provides
an automatic input-to-output voltage bypass operation which help in optimizing
battery utilization and achieving high efficiency while fresh batteries’
nominal voltage is in the same range with the converter’s output value.
The MCP16411 use an automatic switchover from PWM to PFM mode for
light load conditions, to maximize efficiency over a wide range of output
current. The device can be powered by either single-cell, two-cell alkaline/NiMH
batteries or single-cell Li-Ion/Li-Polymer batteries. A low-voltage
designed architecture allows the regulator to start up without high inrush
current or output voltage overshoot from a low input voltage. The start-up voltage
is easily programmed by a resistive divider connected to the UVLO pin. If the
resistive divider is not used, the default start-up voltage will be 0.85V. The
0.8V built-in UVLOSTOP helps prevent deep discharge of the alkaline battery,
which may cause battery leakage. An open-drain Low Battery Output (LBO) pin
will warn the user to replace the battery if the input voltage ramps down to
the programmed UVLOSTART value.
The MCP16411 includes an additional feature to a low-voltage boost
converter for safety: Over-temperature Output. Devices, such as personal
care products, Bluetooth headsets or toys, will benefit from combined Power Good and Die
Overtemperature (PGT) output, which flags a warning signal when the output
level drops below 10% of its nominal value or the die temperature exceeds the factory
programmed temp (75°C default). Both functions are implemented in the device on
the same PGT pin.
The device also incorporates an output auto-discharge feature. While in
shutdown, the device will automatically discharge the output capacitor using an
internal switch. |
