LAN9303M3-Port 10/100 Managed Ethernet Switch | Controllers | 3 | Active | Microchip's LAN9303M/LAN9303Mi is a high-performance, small-footprint, full-featured 3-port managed Ethernet switches. Both devices are application-optimized for consumer and embedded electronics designs which have a rapid development cycle and require low-cost switching functionality, flexibility and ease of integration.
Featuring the industry's smallest form factor 3-port switch, the LAN9303M/9303Mi supports compact PCB designs and single dual (LAN9303M) MII/RMII/Turbo MII (Media Independent, Reduced Media Independent and Turbo Media Independent Interfaces). The LAN9303M(i)'s second MII/RMII/Turbo MII port enables direct connectivity with home networking technologies such as MoCA®, HomePlug®, HomePNA™ (HPNA) and Optical Fiber, among others. This device supports Turbo MII mode to accomplish network speeds up to 200 Mbps. The virtual PHY feature mimics a single PHY connection through the MII/RMII/Turbo MII interface to the host SoC, which can reduce software development time. This feature also allows system designers to swap the single PHY and Ethernet switch to create multiple SKUs from the same software driver. Additionally, the LAN9303/9303M offer the industry's highest (±8kV/15kV) per-port ESD protection.
The LAN9303M/9303Mi switch combines all of the functions of a 10/100 system, including the switch fabric, packet buffers, buffer management, MACs, PHY transceivers and optional serial management functions. Both devices comply with IEEE 802.3 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX Ethernet protocol specifications, enabling compatibility with industry standard Ethernet and Fast Ethernet applications.

LAN93112-Port 10/100 Managed Ethernet Switch with Host Bus Interface | Interface | 3 | Active | The LAN9311/LAN9311i is a full featured, 2 port 10/100 managed Ethernet switch designed for embedded applications where performance, flexibility, ease of integration and system cost control are required. The LAN9311/LAN9311i combines all the functions of a 10/100 switch system, including the switch fabric, packet buffers, buffer manager, media access controllers (MACs), PHY transceivers, and host bus interface. The LAN9311/LAN9311i complies with the IEEE 802.3 (full/half-duplex 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX) Ethernet protocol specification and 802.1D/802.1Q network management protocol specifications, enabling compatibility with industry standard Ethernet and Fast Ethernet applications.
At the core of the LAN9311/LAN9311i is the high performance, high efficiency 3 port Ethernet switch fabric. The switch fabric contains a 3 port VLAN layer 2 switch engine that supports untagged, VLAN tagged, and priority tagged frames. The switch fabric provides an extensive feature set which includes spanning tree protocol support, multicast packet filtering and Quality of Service (QoS) packet prioritization by VLAN tag, destination address, port default value or DIFFSERV/TOS, allowing for a range of prioritization implementations. 32K of buffer RAM allows for the storage of multiple packets while forwarding operations are completed, and a 1K entry forwarding table provides ample room for MAC address forwarding tables. Each port is allocated a cluster of 4 dynamic QoS queues which allow each queue size to grow and shrink with traffic, effectively utilizing all available memory. This memory is managed dynamically via the buffer manager block within the switch fabric. All aspects of the switch fabric are managed via the switch fabric configuration and status registers, which are indirectly accessible via the memory mapped system control and status registers.

LAN93522-Port 10/100 Ethernet Switch with 16-Bit Non-PCI & SPI/SQI Interface | Controllers | 6 | Active | Microchip's LAN9352/LAN9352i is a high-performance, small-footprint, full-featured 2-port managed Ethernet switch. This device is application-optimized for consumer, embedded and Industrial designs which require a highly integrated, cost effective device with switching functionality, flexibility and ease of integration.
Featuring a small form factor 2-port switch, the LAN9352/9352i supports compact PCB design and with 2 Integrated PHY's. LAN9352 extends the definition of the LAN9353 by replacing the Port 0 MII/RMII/Turbo MII interface with a full featured Ethernet MAC accessible through a high-performance host bus or SPI/SQI Interface. The Host MAC incorporates the essential protocol requirements for operating an Ethernet/IEEE 802.3-compliant node and provides an interface between the Host Bus Interface (HBI) and the Ethernet PHYs and Switch Fabric. The device communicates with the microcontroller through an SRAM-like slave interface. The simple, yet highly functional host bus interface provides a glue-less connection to most common 8 or 16-bit microprocessors and microcontrollers as well as 32-bit microprocessors with an 8 or 16-bit external bus. Alternatively, the device can be accessed via SPI/SQI. The Host MAC interfaces with the 10/100 Ethernet PHY’s (Virtual PHY, Port 1 PHY, Port 2 PHY) via an internal SMI (Serial Management Interface) bus.
IEEE 1588-2008 is supported via the integrated IEEE 1588-2008 hardware time stamp unit, which supports end-to-end and peer-to-peer transparent clocks.
