ADG1223Low Capacitance, Low Charge Injection, ±15 V/+12 ViCMOS®Dual SPST Switch | Interface | 2 | Active | The ADG1221/ADG1222/ADG1223 are monolithic, complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) devices containing four independently selectable switches designed on aniCMOS (industrial CMOS) process.iCMOS is a modular manufacturing process combining high voltage CMOS and bipolar technologies. It enables the development of a wide range of high performance analog ICs, capable of 33 V operation, in a footprint that no previous generation of high voltage parts has been able to achieve. Unlike analog ICs using conventional CMOS processes, iCMOS components can tolerate high supply voltages while providing increased performance, dramatically lower power consumption, and reduced package size. The ultralow capacitance and exceptionally low charge injection of these switches make them ideal solutions for data acquisition and sample-and-hold applications, where low glitch and fast settling are required. Figure 2 shows that there is minimum charge injection over the full signal range of the device. The ADG1221/ADG1222/ADG1223 contain two independent single-pole/single-throw (SPST) switches. The ADG1221 and ADG1222 differ only in that the digital control logic is inverted. The ADG1221 switches are turned on with Logic 1 on the appropriate control input, and Logic 0 is required for the ADG1222. The ADG1223 has one switch with digital control logic similar to that of the ADG1221; the logic is inverted on the other switch. The ADG1223 exhibits break-before-make switching action for use in multiplexer applications. Each switch conducts equally well in both directions when on and has an input signal range that extends to the supplies. In the off condition, signal levels up to the supplies are blocked.ApplicationsAutomatic test equipmentData acquisition systemsBattery-powered systemsSample-and-hold systemsAudio signal routingVideo signal routingCommunication systems |
ADG1233Low Capacitance, Triple SPDT ±15 V/12 ViCMOS™ Switch | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | 3 | Active | The ADG1233 andADG1234are monolithiciCMOS®analog switches comprising three independently selectable single-pole, double throw SPDT switches and four independently selectable SPDT switches, respectively. All channels exhibit break-before-make switching action preventing momentary shorting when switching channels. AnENinput on the ADG1233 and ADG1234 enables or disables the device. When disabled, all channels are switched off.TheiCMOS (industrial-CMOS) modular manufacturing process combines a high voltage complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) and bipolar technologies. It enables the development of a wide range of high performance analog ICs capable of 33 V operation in a footprint that no other generation of high voltage devices has been able to achieve.Unlike analog ICs using conventional CMOS processes,iCMOS components can tolerate high supply voltages while providing increased performance, dramatically lowered power consumption, and reduced package size. The ultralow capacitance and charge injection of these multiplexers make them ideal solutions for data acquisition and sample-andhold applications, where low glitch and fast settling are required.Fast switching speed coupled with high signal bandwidth make the devices suitable for video signal switching.iCMOS construction ensures ultralow power dissipation, making the devices ideally suited for portable and battery-powered instruments.Product Highlights1.5 pF off capacitance (±15 V supply).0.5 pC charge injection.3 V logic-compatible digital input, VIH = 2.0 V, VIL = 0.8 V.16-lead TSSOP, 20-lead TSSOP, and 4 mm × 4 mm LFCSP.ApplicationsAudio and video routingAutomatic test equipmentData acquisition systemsBattery-powered systemsSample-and-hold systemsCommunication systems |
