AD796018-Bit, 5 MSPS PULSAR®Differential ADC | Evaluation Boards | 2 | Active | The AD7960 is an 18-bit, 5 MSPS charge redistribution successive approximation (SAR), analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The SAR architecture allows unmatched performance both in noise and in linearity. The AD7960 contains a low power, high speed, 18-bit sampling ADC, an internal conversion clock and an internal reference buffer. On the CNV± edge, the AD7960 samples the voltage difference between the IN+ and IN− pins. The voltages on these pins swing in opposite phase between 0 V and 4.096 V/5 V. The reference voltage is applied to the part externally. All conversion results are available on a single LVDS self-clocked or echo-clocked serial interface. The AD7960 is available in a 32-lead LFCSP (QFN) with operation specified from −40°C to +85°C.APPLICATIONSDigital imaging systemsDigital X-raysComputed tomographyIR camerasMRI gradient controlHigh speed data acquisitionSpectroscopyTest equipment |

AD797Ultralow Distortion, Ultralow Noise Op Amp | Instrumentation, Op Amps, Buffer Amps | 7 | Active | The AD797 is a very low noise, low distortion operational amplifier ideal for use as a preamplifier. The low noise of 0.9 nV√Hzand low total harmonic distortion of -120 dB at audio bandwidths give the AD797 the wide dynamic range necessary for preamps in microphones and mixing consoles.Furthermore, the AD797's excellent slew rate of 20 V/µs and 110 MHz gain bandwidth make it highly suitable for low frequency ultrasound applications. The AD797 is also useful in IR and Sonar Imaging applications where the widest dynamic range is necessary. The low distortion and 16-bit settling time of the AD797 make it ideal for buffering the inputs to Sigma Delta ADCs or the outputs of high resolution DACs especially when they are used in critical applications such as seismic detection and spectrum analyzers. Key features such as a 50 mA output current drive and the specified power supply voltage range of ±5 to ±15 volts make the AD797 an excellent general purpose amplifier.APPLICATIONSProfessional audio preamplifiersIR, CCD, and sonar imaging systemsSpectrum analyzersUltrasound preamplifiersSeismic detectorsΣ-Δ ADC/DAC buffers |
AD798016-Bit, 1 MSPS, PulSAR ADC in MSOP/LFCSP | Data Acquisition | 6 | Active | The AD7980 is a 16-bit, successive approximation, analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that operates from a single power supply, VDD. It contains a low power, high speed, 16-bit sampling ADC and a versatile serial interface port. On the CNV rising edge, it samples an analog input IN+ between 0 V to REF with respect to a ground sense IN−. The reference voltage, REF, is applied externally and can be set independent of the supply voltage, VDD. Its power scales linearly with throughput. The SPI-compatible serial interface also features the ability, using the SDI input, to daisy-chain several ADCs on a single, 3-wire bus and provides an optional busy indicator. It is compatible with 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3 V, or 5 V logic, using the separate supply VIO.The AD7980 is housed in a 10-lead MSOP or a 10-lead QFN (LFCSP) with operation specified from −40°C to +125°C.APPLICATIONSAutomated test equipmentData acquisition systemsMedical instrumentsMachine automation |
AD798218-Bit, 1 MSPS PulSAR ADC in MSOP/LFCSP | Analog to Digital Converters (ADC) | 1 | Active | The AD7982 is an 18-bit, successive approximation, analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that operates from a single power supply, VDD. The AD7982 contains a low power, high speed, 18-bit sampling ADC and a versatile serial interface port. On the CNV rising edge, the AD7982 samples the voltage difference between the IN+ and IN− pins. The voltages on these pins usually swing in opposite phases between 0 V and VREF. The reference voltage, VREF, is applied externally and can be set independent of the supply voltage, VDD. Its power scales linearly with throughput. The serial peripheral interface (SPI)-compatible serial interface also features the ability, using the SDI input, to daisy-chain several ADCs on a single 3-wire bus and provides an optional busy indicator. The AD7982 is compatible with 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3 V, and 5 V logic, using the separate VIO supply. The AD7982 is available in a 10-lead MSOP or a 10-lead LFCSP with operation specified from −40°C to +85°C.ApplicationsAutomated test equipmentData acquisition systemsMedical instrumentsMachine automation |
