MAX6816±15kV ESD-Protected, Single/Dual/Octal, CMOS Switch Debouncers | Interface | 7 | Active | The MAX6816/MAX6817/MAX6818 are single, dual, and octal switch debouncers that provide clean interfacing of mechanical switches to digital systems. They accept one or more bouncing inputs from a mechanical switch and produce a clean digital output after a short, preset qualification delay. Both the switch opening bounce and the switch closing bounce are removed. Robust switch inputs handle ±25V levels and are ±15kV ESD-protected for use in harsh industrial environments. They feature single-supply operation from +2.7V to +5.5V. Undervoltage lockout circuitry ensures the output is in the correct state upon power-up.The single MAX6816 and dual MAX6817 are offered in SOT packages and require no external components. Their low supply current makes them ideal for use in portable equipment. The MAX6818 octal switch debouncer is designed for data-bus interfacing. The MAX6818 monitors switches and provides a switch change-of-state output (active-low CH), simplifying microprocessor (µP) polling and interrupts. Additionally, the MAX6818 has three-state outputs controlled by an enable (active-low EN) pin, and is pin-compatible with the LS573 octal latch (except for the active-low CH pin), allowing easy interfacing to a digital data bus.ApplicationsµP Switch InterfacingIndustrial InstrumentsMembrane KeypadsPC-Based InstrumentsPortable Instrumentation |

MAX6818±15kV ESD-Protected, Single/Dual/Octal, CMOS Switch Debouncers | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | 3 | Active | The MAX6816/MAX6817/MAX6818 are single, dual, and octal switch debouncers that provide clean interfacing of mechanical switches to digital systems. MAX6819SOT23 Power-Supply Sequencers | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | 3 | Active | The MAX6819/MAX6820 are power-supply sequencers for dual-voltage microprocessors (µPs) and multivoltage systems. These devices monitor a primary supply voltage and enable/disable an external N-channel MOSFET switch for a secondary supply voltage. The MAX6819/MAX6820 control local component voltage sequencing when system power-on/power-off characteristics cannot be guaranteed (supplies come from a multivoltage system bus, silver box, or must be sequenced in different modes for components on the same board). These small power-supply sequencers improve system reliability. The MAX6819/MAX6820 include an internal voltage reference/comparator with externally adjustable thresholds to monitor the primary power supply. When the primary supply is below the desired threshold, an external secondary supply MOSFET switch is disabled. When the primary supply exceeds the threshold, an internal charge pump is activated and the external MOSFET switch is enabled to connect the secondary supply to the load. The charge pump fully enhances the N-channel MOSFET switch to provide a very low RDS-ONvoltage drop. The devices can be connected to support various supply sequencing priorities such as VI/Obefore VCOREor VCOREbefore VI/O.The MAX6819 features a logic-driven EN input to enable/disable the external MOSFET drive and includes an internally fixed 200ms enable timeout period (VPRIMARY GOODto VSECONDARY ENABLE). The MAX6820 allows the enable timeout period to be adjusted with a single external capacitor. Both devices are specified over the automotive temperature range (-40°C to +125°C) and are available in space-saving 6-pin SOT23 packages.ApplicationsDigital Signal ProcessingDual-Voltage MicroprocessorsMultivoltage SystemsPowerPC® Series Processors |
MAX6823.3V Input to Regulated 5V Output Charge Pumps | Power Management (PMIC) | 3 | Active | The MAX682/MAX683/MAX684 charge-pump regulators generate 5V from a 2.7V to 5.5V input. They are specifically designed to serve as high-efficiency auxiliary supplies in applications that demand a compact design. The MAX682, MAX683, and MAX684 deliver 250mA, 100mA, and 50mA output current, respectively. These complete 5V regulators require only one resistor and three external capacitors—no inductors are needed. High switching frequencies (externally adjustable up to 2MHz) and a unique regulation scheme allow the use of capacitors as small as 1µF per 100mA of output current. The MAX683/MAX684 are offered in a space-saving 8-pin µMAX package that is only 1.1mm high, while the MAX682 is available in an 8-pin SO.Applications3.3V to 5V Local Conversion Applications3V to 5V GSM SIMM CardsBackup Battery Boost ConvertersBattery-Powered ApplicationsFlash Memory SuppliesMiniature EquipmentPCMCIA Cards |
