MAX146USB Host Charger Identification/Adapter Emulators | Evaluation and Demonstration Boards and Kits | 29 | Active | The MAX14663 is a complete power solution for portable medical devices, including blood glucose meters. The device integrates a high-efficiency single-cell Li-ion switching charger targeted at space-limited portable applications with small batteries. An ultra low-power seal mode which significantly reduces standby current and preserves battery charge during prolonged periods of storage is also included. This mode extends battery shelf life, and enables improved customer experience with immediate out-of-box use.Additionally, the MAX14663 embeds a Maxim proprietary ModelGauge™ (fuel gauge), which provides an accurate estimate of the available capacity for rechargeable Li-ion batteries.A boost converter and LED current sinks are also integrated for powering OLED displays or LED backlights. Internal cable-detection circuitry enables the MAX14663 to identify the presence of an unpowered/unconnected USB cable. This information can be used by the portable system to intelligently select its operating mode, maximizing accuracy and minimizing measurement errors. The MAX14663 operates over the -20°C to +70°C temperature range and is available in a (5mm x 5mm), 40-pin, TQFN-EP package.ApplicationsPortable Blood Glucose MetersPortable Medical DevicesUSB Connected Devices |
MAX14602USB Host Charger Identification/Adapter Emulators | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | 1 | Active | The MAX14600–MAX14605 and MAX14618 are third-generation USB 2.0 host charger identification devices that combine USB Hi-Speed analog switches with a USB adapter emulator circuit. The devices support pass-through mode and auto mode. In charging downstream port (CDP) pass-through mode, the devices emulate the CDP function while supporting normal USB traffic. The MAX14600/MAX14603/MAX14605 have a pFET open-drain output (active-low CEN), and the MAX14601/MAX14604/MAX14618 have an nFET open-drain output (CEN) to restart the peripheral connected to the USB host. All the devices support the CDP and standard downstream port (SDP) charging during the active state (S0) and support the dedicated charging port (DCP) charging during the standby state (S3/S4/S5). The MAX14603/MAX14604/MAX14605/MAX14618 support remote wakeup in standby mode. The MAX14602/MAX14605 offer backward-compatible CDP emulation upgrade to the MAX14566E.The MAX14600–MAX14605/MAX14618 are available in an 8-pin (2mm x 2mm) TDFN package, and are specified over the -40°C to +85°C extended temperature range.ApplicationsUSB Host Data/Chargers including:-Flat-Panel Displays with USB-Game Consoles-Laptop and Desktop Computers-Media Players-USB Hubs |

MAX14611Quad Bidirectional Low-Voltage Logic-Level Translator | Evaluation Boards | 2 | Active | The MAX14611 is a quad bidirectional logic-level translator that provides the level shifting necessary to allow data transfer in a multivoltage system. Externally applied voltages, VCCand VL, set the logic levels on either side of the device. A low-voltage logic signal present on the VLside of the device appears as a high-voltage logic signal on the VCCside of the device, and vice-versa.The device is ideal for I²C bus as well as MDIO bus applications where open-drain operation is often required. The device features a three-state output mode (active-low TS). Drive active-low TS high to connect the pullup to the powered I/O port. This allows for continuous, undisrupted I²C operation on the powered side of the device while the level translation function is off. The MAX14611 is a pin-to-pin compatible upgrade to the MAX3378E in the TDFN package. The MAX14611 features enhanced high-electrostatic-discharge (ESD) protection on all I/OVCC_ ports up to ±6kV HBM. The device operates over the -40°C to +85°C extended temperature range and is available in 3mm x 3mm, 14-pin TDFN and 4.9mm x 5.1mm, 14-pin TSSOP packages.ApplicationsLow-Voltage ASIC Level TranslationMobile PhonesPortable ElectronicsPOS SystemsSPI, I²C, and MDIO Level TranslationTelecommunications Equipment |
