LTC4099I2C Controlled USB Power Manager/ Charger with Overvoltage Protection | PMIC | 3 | Active | The LTC4099 is an I2C controlled high efficiency USB PowerPath™controller and full-featured Li-Ion/Polymer battery charger. It seamlessly manages power distribution from multiple sources including USB, a wall adapter and a Li-Ion/Polymer battery. The LTC4099 automatically limits its input current for USB compatibility. For automotive and other high voltage applications, the LTC4099 interfaces with an external switching regulator. Both the USB input and the auxiliary input controller feature Bat-Track optimized charging to provide maximum power to the application and reduced heat in high power density applications. The I2C port allows digital control of important application parameters including input current limit, charge current and float voltage. Several status bits can also be read back via I2C.An overvoltage protection circuit guards the LTC4099from high voltage damage on the low voltage VBUSpin.TheLTC4099 is available in a 20-Lead 3mm × 4mm × 0.75mmQFN Package.ApplicationsMedia PlayersPortable Navigation DevicesSmart PhonesIndustrial HandheldsPortable Medical Instruments |

LTC4110Battery Backup System Manager | Power Management (PMIC) | 2 | Active | The LTC4110 is a complete single chip, high efficiency, flyback battery charge and discharge manager with automatic switchover between the input supply and the backup battery or super capacitor. The IC provides four modes of operation: battery backup, battery charge, battery calibration and shutdown. Battery backup and battery charge are automatic standalone modes, while the optional calibration mode requires a CPU host to communicate over an SMBus. During calibration the flyback charger is used in reverse to discharge the battery with a programmable constant current into the system load eliminating heat generation. Three status outputs can be individually reconfigured over the SMBus to become GPIOs. User programmable over-discharge protection is provided. The SHDN pin isolates the battery to support shipping the product with a charged battery installed.Multiple LTC4110s can be combined to form a redundant battery backup system or increase the number of battery packs to achieve longer backup run times. The LTC4110 is available in a low profile (0.75mm), 38-pin 5mm × 7mm QFN package. The QFN features an exposed metal die mount pad for optimum thermal performance.ApplicationsBackup Battery SystemsServer Memory BackupMedical EquipmentHigh Reliability Systems |

LTC4120LTC4120-4.2Wireless Power Receiver and 400mA Buck Battery Charger | Battery Chargers | 8 | Active | The LTC4120 is a constant-current/constant-voltage wireless receiver and battery charger. An external programming resistor sets the charge current up to 400mA. The LTC4120-4.2 is suitable for charging Li-Ion/Polymer batteries, while the programmable float voltage of the LTC4120 accommodates several battery chemistries. The LTC4120 uses a Dynamic Harmonization Control (DHC) technique that allows high efficiency contactless charging across an air gap.The LTC4120 regulates its input voltage via the DHC pin. This technique modulates the resonant frequency of a receiver tank to automatically adjust the power received as well as the power transmitted to provide an efficient solution for wirelessly charging battery-powered devices.Wireless charging with the LTC4120 provides a method to power devices in harsh environments without requiring expensive failure-prone connectors. This allows products to be charged while locked within sealed enclosures, or in moving or rotating equipment, or where cleanliness or sanitation is critical. This full featured battery charger includes accurate RUN pin threshold, low voltage battery preconditioning and bad battery fault detection, timer termination, auto-recharge, and NTC temperature qualified charging. TheFAULTpin provides an indication of bad battery or temperature faults.Once charging is terminated, the LTC4120 signals end-of-charge via theCHRGpin, and enters a low current sleep mode. An auto-restart feature starts a new charging cycle if the battery voltage drops by 2.2%.ApplicationsHandheld InstrumentsIndustrial/Military Sensors and DevicesHarsh EnvironmentsPortable Medical DevicesPhysically Small DevicesElectrically Isolated Devices |

LTC4121LTC4121-4.240V 400mA Synchronous Step-Down Battery Charger | PMIC | 8 | Active | The LTC4121 is a 400mA constant-current/constantvoltage (CC/CV) synchronous step-down battery charger. In addition to CC/CV operation, the LTC4121 regulates its input voltage to a programmable percentage of the input open-circuit voltage. This technique maintains maximum power transfer with high impedance input sources such as solar panels. An external resistor programs the charge current up to 400mA. The LTC4121-4.2 is suitable for charging Li-Ion/ Polymer batteries, while the programmable float voltage of the LTC4121 is suitable for several battery chemistries. The LTC4121 and LTC4121-4.2 include an accurate RUN pin threshold, low voltage battery preconditioning and bad battery fault detection, timer termination, auto-recharge, and NTC temperature qualified charging. TheFAULTpin provides an indication of bad battery or temperature faults.Once charging is terminated, the LTC4121 signals end-ofcharge via theCHRGpin, and enters a low current SLEEP mode. LTC4123Low Power Wireless Charger for Hearing Aids | Power Management (PMIC) | 3 | Active | The LTC4123 is a low power wireless receiver and a constant-current/constant-voltage linear charger for NiMH batteries. An external programming resistor sets the charge current up to 25mA. The temperature compensated charge voltage feature protects the NiMH battery and prevents overcharging.Wireless charging with the LTC4123 allows products to be charged while sealed within enclosures and eliminates bulky connectors in space constrained environments. The LTC4123 also makes it possible to charge NiMH batteries used in moving or rotating equipment. The LTC4123 prevents charging of Zinc-Air batteries as well as batteries inserted with reverse polarity. The LTC4123 pauses charging if its temperature is too hot or too cold. An internal timer provides time-based charging termination. The 2mm × 2mm DFN package and low external component count make the LTC4123 well-suited for hearing aid applications or other low power portable devices where small solution size is mandatory.ApplicationsHearing AidsSmart CardsFitness DevicesMoving and/or Rotating Equipment |
