Description

General part information

HMC232A Series

The HMC232 is a broadband nonreflective GaAs MESFET SPDT MMIC chip and a broadband high isolation nonreflective GaAs MESFET SPDT switch in a hermetic or nonhermetic surface-mount ceramic package or in a low cost leadless QFN surface-mount plastic package. Covering DC to 15 GHz, the switch features more than 60 dB isolation at lower frequencies and more than 45 dB at higher frequencies due to the implementation of on-chip via hole structures. The switch operates using two negative control voltage logic lines (A and B) of −5/0 V and requires no Vee or bias supply. Alternate A and B control pads are provided to ease MIC implementation. All data shown are tested with the chip in a 50 Ω test fixture connected via 0.025 mm (1 mil) diameter wire bonds of 0.5 mm (20 mils) length. Input P1dB compression is 27 dBm typical, whereas Input IP3 is 50 dBm. This product is a form, fit, and functional replacement for the HMC132.ApplicationsFiber opticsMicrowave radios and VSATMilitary radios, radar, and ECMSpace systemsTest equipmentTest instrumentationTelecom infrastructure
