Description
General part information
MPQ4436 Series
The MPQ4436A is a frequency programmable, synchronous, step-down switching regulator with integrated internal high side and low-side power MOSFETs in QFN-20 (4mmx4mm) package. It provides 6A (or less) of highly efficient output with current mode control for fast loop response. The wide 3.3V to 45V input range accommodates a variety of step-down applications in an automotive input environment. High power conversion efficiency over a wide load range is achieved by scaling down the switching frequency in light-load conditions to reduce the switching and gate driving losses. Frequency foldback helps prevent inductor current runaway during start-up. Thermal shutdown provides reliable, fault-tolerant operation. High-duty cycle and low dropout mode are provided for the automotive cold crank condition. Typical applications include automotive infotainment, automotive clusters, advanced driver assistance systems and industrial power systems.
