AT88SC1616CRF Series

Microchip CryptoRF?? integrates a 13.56MHz RF interface into Microchip CryptoMemory?? to create a contactless secure RFID solution with advanced security and cryptographic features. The device is optimized as contactless secure memory for RF tags and secure data storage without requiring an internal microprocessor. This device contains 16Kb of user memory and 2Kb of configuration memory containing: eight sets of read/write passwords, four crypto key sets, security access registers for each user zone, and password/key registers for each zone. The maximum communication range between the reader antenna and contactless card is approximately 10cm when used with an RFID reader that transmits the maximum ISO/IEC 14443-2 RF power level. The RF interface powers the other circuits.
