Description

General part information

SMR5 Series

The SMR Series is a metallized polyphenylene sulfide film capacitor with vacuum-evaporated aluminum electrodes. Radial leads of tinned wire are electrically welded to the contact metal layer on the ends of the capacitor winding. The capacitor is encapsulated in self- extinguishing material meeting the requirements of UL 94 V–0. Typical applications include automotive and other applications with high ambient temperatures, as well as those requiring high stability and low losses. The capacitor offers excellent sound quality in audio applications.
