RN131 Series
This product is not recommended for new designs-consider using the [**RNWF02**](https://www.microchip.com/en-us/product/rnwf02pc)as an alternative. View our [**RN Wi-Fi Migration Guide**](https://microchip.my.site.com/s/article/KB-000014336-RN-Wi-Fi-Module-Migration-Guide) for more information on making the transition.
**Important Note:**
We assessed the RN131 against the new RED Directive EN 300 328 v2.2.2 standard and the module cannot meet this new standard due to new, more rigorous test limits with which the radio cannot meet the minimum performance criterion. This means that going forward, the device is not compliant for operation within countries that require this standard.
