The MA180025 is a PIC18F87J90 plug in module for PICDEM LCD 2 demonstration board. The PIC18F87J90 combines the traditional advantages namely, high computational performance and a rich feature set with a versatile, onchip LCD driver, while maintaining an extremely competitive price point. This plug in module is small circuit processor board used with the development board to evaluate PIC18F87J90 microcontroller. It allows for easy development of LCD applications. The PIM features two capacitive touch buttons implemented using the charge time measurement unit on the PIC18F87J90. The PIM goes on the 80 pin socket on the PICDEM LCD 2 demo board (DM163030) and changes the output of the voltage regulator on the board to the proper voltage level for these parts. This enables users to quickly evaluate the new PIC18FJ LCD flash devices without having to buy a completely new demo board. It can be used stand alone in a custom application.
