EVLSRK1000A-PFSRK1000A adaptive synchronous rectification controller for flyback converter demonstration board with logic level SR MOSFET | Evaluation and Demonstration Boards and Kits | 2 | Active | The EVLSRK1000A-PF is a demonstration board, designed for evaluation of the SRK1000A synchronous rectification controller.
The SRK1000A implements a control scheme specific for secondary-side synchronous rectification in flyback converters and provides high-current gate-drive outputs for driving N-channel power MOSFET.
The device can operate both in quasi-resonant applications and in fixed frequency (FF) mixed DCM-CCM applications. The board is provided with a setting suitable for QR applications. To use in FF applications, a 100 pF capacitor needs to be added in C4. A 68 kΩ resistor (R5) is provided on the TON pin that fixes the blanking after the turn-on to about 0.8 μs.
The board includes the SR MOSFET (PowerFLAT 5 x 6 package) and can be easily implemented into an existing converter to substitute rectifier diodes. |
EVLSRK1001-TOSRK1001 adaptive synchronous rectification controller for flyback converter demonstration board with SR MOSFET | Development Boards, Kits, Programmers | 2 | Active | The EVLSRK1001-PF is a demonstration board, designed for evaluation of the SRK1001 synchronous rectification controller. The SRK1001 implements a control scheme specific for secondary-side synchronous rectification in flyback converters and provides high-current gate-drive outputs for driving N-channel Power MOSFET. The device can operate both in quasi-resonant (QR) applications and in fixed frequency (FF) mixed DCM-CCM applications. The board is provided with a setting suitable for QR application. To use in FF applications, a 100pF capacitor needs to be added in C3. A 120 kΩ resistor (R3) is provided on the TON pin that fixes the blanking after the turn-on to about 1.44 µs. The blanking time after turn-off is set to 3 μs through a 100 kΩ resistor (R4) on TOFF pin. In order to use the DIS/SYNC pin functionality, the user has to remove the zero ohm resistor R9: the PCB already provides a NPN transistor connected to this pin for remote ON/OFF. The board includes the SR MOSFET (PowFLAT 5 x 6 package) and can be easily implemented into an existing converter to substitute rectifier diodes. |
EVLSRK1004ASRK1004x synchronous rectifier controller for non-complementary Active Clamp Flyback converter demonstration board with SR MOSFET | Power Management (PMIC) | 5 | Active | The EVLSRK1004A, EVLSRK1004B, EVLSRK1004C, and EVLSRK1004D are demonstration boards, designed for evaluation of the SRK1004x synchronous rectification controller.
The SRK1004 is a controller intended for secondary side synchronous rectification (SR) in a Non-Complementary Active Clamp Flyback converter. It provides a gate-drive output suitable for N-channel logic-level or standard level power MOSFETs.
The control scheme of this IC is such that the SR MOSFET is switched on as soon as current starts flowing through its body diode and it is then switched off as current approaches zero.
The boards are provided with a setting suitable for ACF or QR application in low-side mode. In this case, the devices are supplied directly from the converter’s output voltage.
When operated in high-side configuration, a special function enables a quick detection of short-circuit conditions to inhibit its operation as if the IC were powered directly from the output voltage. In the case that it is used in high-side configuration, it is recommended to power the board from a dedicated auxiliary winding and to use R5 > 36 K to configure Vout,sc (for short-circuit detection with Vout > 0 V). For example R5 = 150 K to configure Vout,sc = 2 V.
The boards include the SR MOSFET (PowerFLAT 5 x 6 package) and can be easily implemented into an existing converter to substitute rectifier diodes. |
EVLSTCH03-36W-SR36W USB charger with selectable output voltage (5-9-12 V @3A) based on STCH03L and SRK1000B | Development Boards, Kits, Programmers | 1 | Active | The EVLSTCH03-36W-SR shown in the image here is a 36 W wide-range mains USB charger demonstration board, with selectable output voltage (5 - 9 - 12 V @ 3 A output current), based on the STCH03L and SRK1000B.
The power circuit is a quasi-resonant (QR) flyback converter, with peak current mode control, based on the STCH03L IC. The circuit operates with secondary side constant voltage (CV) regulation through an optocoupler and is capable of providing constant output current (CC) regulation using primary sensing feedback.
The STCH03L embeds a 650 V, non-dissipative, HV startup cell, which, along with the extremely low quiescent current and burst-mode management, helps minimize residual input consumption, thus achieving less than 20 mW under no-load condition.
At secondary side, the SRK1000B controller implements synchronous rectification to increase system efficiency: it controls the synchronous rectifier MOSFET, driving its gate with minimal turn-on delay and maximizing the turn-off time instant (through an adaptive mechanism) so that the residual conduction of the SR MOSFET body diode after turn-off reduces to the target value of 300 ns.
The charger is designed to meet the most stringent energy saving recommendations (Eu CoC rev. 5 - Tier 2 and EPS of DOE USA) as well as EMI regulation EN55022-Class-B for line conducted noise emissions. |
EVLSTNRG011-15012 V, 150 W power supply based on STNRG011 digital combo and SRK2001 adaptive synchronous rectifier controller | DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS | 1 | Active | The EVLSTNRG011-150 is a 12 V, 150 W power supply demonstration board for 90 V ac to 264 V ac mains, which is representative of an AC/DC converter for an all in one (AIO) computer or a general purpose high power adapter.
The design is based on the STNRG011 IC, a digital combo that controls a two-stage AC/DC SMPL. The front-end is a transition mode PFC pre-regulator and the second stage is an LLC HB resonant converter. The SRK2001 implements the synchronous rectification in order to obtain higher efficiency.
No auxiliary supply is needed due to the very low consumption at no load.
A full set of auxiliary functions and protection is also provided, this allows reduction of the overall BOM while maintaining a rugged design.
The performances of the EVLSTNRG011-150 can meet the requirements of major standards ENERGY STAR® for computers ver. 6.1, EuP Lot 6Tier 2, European CoC ver. 5 Tier-2, in terms of efficiency, no-load input power and power factor and feature harmonics content well below the limits of European Standard EN61000-3-2 Class- D and Japanese standard JEITA-MITI Class-D regulations. |

EVLVIPGAN65PD65 W USB Type-C Power Delivery reference design based on VIPERGAN65 and STUSB4761 | Evaluation and Demonstration Boards and Kits | 1 | Active | The EVLVIPGAN65PD is a 65 W USB Type-C® Power Delivery 3.0 adapter reference design. It is an isolated power supply with a standalone USB PD controller. The evaluation board implements at the primary side a quasi-resonant flyback converter based on the VIPERGAN65 HV converter with optocoupler feedback for voltage regulation. This controller combines a high performance low-voltage PWM controller chip with a 650 V HV startup cell in the same package. The advanced power management with the low quiescent helps to achieve low standby consumptions.
At the secondary side, to increase the system efficiency, the rectification is based on the SRK1001 adaptive synchronous rectification controller.
Also on the secondary side, the CC/CV regulation loop to drive the power regulation stage and the USB Type-C®PD interface is based on the STUSB4761 controller. This controller offers the benefits of a full hardware USB PD stack allowing robust, deterministic, and safe negotiation in line with USB PD standards.
The evaluation board implements a robust adapter protected for output overvoltage, output undervoltage, output over power and output short-circuit. This reference design, based on STMicroelectronics semiconductors, helps designers to develop adapters with a short bill of materials in order to obtain a cost-effective and fast design. |
EVSPIN32F06Q1S33-phase inverter based on STSPIN32F0601Q with 3-shunt topology | Development Boards, Kits, Programmers | 4 | Active | The EVSPIN32F06Q1S3 board is a 3-phase complete inverter based on the STSPIN32F0601 controller, QFN 72L package version, which embeds a 3‑phase 600 V gate driver and a Cortex®‑M0 STM32 MCU.
