STEVAL-LLL009V1300 W very high AC input voltage LED driver with digital power control | Evaluation Boards | 1 | Active | The STEVAL-LLL009V1 digitally controlled 300 W power supply consists of power factor correction (PFC) and half-bridge LCC resonant converter power stages. An STM32F334R8 microcontroller implements DC-DC and output synchronous rectification digital control, while the PFC is driven in transition mode by the L6562AT controller. The system supports constant voltage (CV) and constant current (CC) operation.
MDmesh K5 and MDmesh DK5 Power MOSFETs are used in the PFC and LCC half-bridge, respectively, to ensure maximum efficiency, while the STripFET F7 Power MOSFET is employed to reduce conduction losses in the synchronous rectification stage on the secondary side.
Both the primary and secondary sections are supplied by an off-line flyback circuit based on VIPER267KDTR high voltage converter for ultra-wide input which provides regulated voltages to the control board, the gate driver ICs and the signal conditioning circuits.

The control board mounts several switches for manual control of LED brightness and color on the white LEDs and RGB LEDs, respectively. The power board is a single stage LED driver with high power factor (HPF) and low total harmonic distortion (THD) tailored to LED power supply specifications for smart home lighting applications.
On the primary side, the HVLED001B controller manages the AC-DC HPF flyback converter. Primary side regulation and optocoupler control are applied independently on the chip, both exploiting precise regulation and very low standby power under no load conditions. The converter supplies a power output of 35 W maximum and a LED voltage in the range of 24 - 48 V with a constant current regulation of 0.7 A.
The power board can provide 3.3 V supply voltage (J12 pin 1) to the connectivity board (connected via J12) and to a common GND (J12 pin 4).
Thanks to the embedded programmable BlueNRG-M2SP, the connectivity board can manage the enable/disable state (J12 pin 3) and the PWM dimming (J12 pin 2) signals. |

It can display banners in which each pixel can have a different level of brightness (32levels).
The screen refresh rate is higher than 100 Hz. The banners can be scrolled horizontally in both directions for lights effects. The banners are loaded by the use of the STSW-LLL013GUI PC software app.
The STP16CPC26 is a monolithic, low voltage, 16-bit constant current LED sink driver with a serial input/output interface.
Two STP16CPC26 drive a 7x25 LED matrix. The two LED drivers are connected in a daisy chain and controlled by the STM32F042K6 MCU, using an SPI IP interface.
The MCU works as a frame generator for the banners, and as a bridge with the PC software app, by implementing a USB VCP device class.
Additional potentiometers on the board allow you to change the brightness of the whole display and the speed of the banner scrolling effects.
To exploit all the potential features of the board, many hardware resources are available, such as pin connectors that deliver additional MCU features, a JTAG interface, and a serial input/output to cascade other LED drivers. |

The ALED7709 is an automotive LED driver (AEC-Q100 Grade1 qualified), it includes a DC/DC controller usable as boost or SEPIC, and four low-side constant-current sinks.
The integration of the boost controller with the LED sinks, gives the possibility of adapting the boost voltage for the different LED conditions, minimizing the power dissipation in the ALED7709 and as consequence increasing the overall efficiency.
The evaluation kit houses also the SPC582B60E1, a 32bit automotive grade microcontroller. The MCU controls the ALED7709 via the I2C interface.
The STEVAL-LLL014V1 can be configured and controlled with the STSW-LLL014GUI software, which runs on a PC connected to the board through the USB bus.
