The T2550-12x is a 25 A 1200 V Snubberless Triac available in three packages: D²PAK, TO-220AB and TO-220AB insulated. Its 1200 V blocking voltage enables use in 3-phase industrial application. Its noise immunity and dynamic commutation makes it suitable for either inductive, capacitive or resistive load control.

This allows the heatsink size optimization, leading to space and cost effectiveness when compared to electro-mechanical solutions. Based on ST Snubberless technology, they offer a specified minimal commutation and high noise immunity levels valid up to the Tjmax. These devices safely optimize the control of universal motors and inductive loads found in power tools and major appliances. By using an internal ceramic pad, they provide voltage insulation (rated at 2500 VRMS).

The device is packaged in a through-hole TO-3PF full plastic insulated. The T4050-6PF is optimized for the ON/OFF function or phase angle control in applications such as static relays, heating regulation, induction motor starting circuits, light dimmers, motor speed controllers and in many other industrial applications where high immunity and high surge current are required.

Sensitive Triacs are intended in general purpose applications where high surge current capability is required. These Triacs feature a gate current capability sensitivities of 5 mA or 10 mA depending on the quadrant.
