NCT72±1°C Temperature Monitor with Series Resistance Cancellation | Sensors, Transducers | 1 | Active | The NCT72 is a dual-channel digital thermometer and undertemperature/overtemperature alarm, intended for use in PCs and thermal management systems. It is pin and register compatible with the NCT1008 but the NCT72 allows the user to pull the /ALERT pin to 1.8V without increasin the device Idd. A feature of the NCT72 is series resistance cancellation, where up to 1.5 kΩ (typical) of resistance in series with the temperature monitoring diode can be automatically cancelled from the temperature result, allowing noise filtering. The NCT72 has a configurable /ALERT output and an extended, switchable temperature measurement range. The NCT72 can measure the temperature of a remote thermal diode accurate to ±1°C and the ambient temperature accurate to ±3°C. The temperature measurement range defaults to 0°C to +127°C, compatible with the NCT1008, but it can be switched to a wider measurement range of -64°C to +191°C. The NCT72 communicates over a 2-wire serial interface, compatible with system management bus (SMBus/I2C) standards. The default SMBus/I2C address of the NCT72 is 0x4C. An NCT72D is available with an SMBus/I2C address of 0x4D. This is useful if more than one NCT72 is used on the same SMBus/I2C. An /ALERT output signals when the on-chip or remote temperature is out of range. The /THERM output is a comparator output that allows on/off control of a cooling fan. The /ALERT output can be reconfigured as a second /THERM output, if required. |

NCT7491Remote Thermal Monitor and Fan Controller with PECI 3.0 Interface and SMBus Compatible Master | Power Management (PMIC) | 1 | LTB | The NCT7491 is a two wire serially programmable hardware monitor. It can monitor 2 remote temperature zones and its own ambient temperature. A PECI 3.0 single wire interface allows the NCT7491 to monitor CPU temperatures. The NCT7491 also implements an SMBus compatible master, allowing it to read automatically from thermal sensors on the SMBus. The NCT7491 can automatically control the speed of 3 fans using PWM control, and monitor the speed of 4 fans. There are 4 analog inputs, used for measuring 12 V, 5 V, 2.5 V and Vccp channels. The NCT7491 supply voltage and PECI VTTvoltage are also monitored. Each of the measured temperature, voltage and fan speed values are compared with programmable limits and if any channel is outside the programmed limit an interrupt is generated via the ALERT output pin. A THERM output is also available for fail safe thermal control. Up to 3 GPIO pins are available for digital control or signalling. Communication with the NCT7491 is accomplished via the SMBus/I2C interface which is compatible with industry standard protocols. The SMBus address is set by 2 address selection pins. The NCT7491 is available in a 24 lead QFN or QSOP package and operates over a supply range of 3.0 V to 3.6 V. |
NCT75Digital Temperature Sensor with 2-Wire Interface | Sensors, Transducers | 2 | Active | NCT75 is a two-wire serially programmable temperature sensor with an overtemperature/interrupt output pin to signal out of limit conditions. This is an open drain pin and can operate in either comparator or interrupt mode. Temperature measurements are converted into digital form using a high resolution (12 bit), sigma-delta, analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The device operates over the -55°C to +125°C temperature range.Communication with the NCT75 is accomplished via the SMBus/I2C interface which is compatible with industry standard protocols. Three address selection pins, A2, A1 and A0, can be used to connect up to 8 NCT75s to a single bus. Through this interface the NCT75s internal registers may be accessed. These registers allow the user to read the current temperature, change the configuration settings and adjust the temperature limits. The NCT75 has a wide supply voltage range of 3.0 V to 5.5 V. The average supply current is 575 µA at 3.3 V. It also offers a shutdown mode to conserve power. The typical shutdown current is 3 µA.The NCT75 is available in three, space saving packages - DFN-8, MSOP-8 and SOIC-8 and is also fully pin and register compatible with the LM75 and the TCN75. |
| Integrated Circuits (ICs) | 3 | Active | The NCV1009 is a precision trimmed 2.5 V +/-5.0 mV shunt regulator diode. The low dynamic impedance and wide operating current range enhances its versatility. The tight reference tolerance is achieved by on-chip trimming which minimizes voltage tolerance and temperature drift. A third terminal allows the reference voltage to be adjusted +/-5.0% to calibrate out system errors. In many applications, the NCV1009Z can be used as a pin-to-pin replacement of the LT1009CZ and the LM136Z-2.5 with the external trim network eliminated. |
NCV1060Automotive High-Voltage Switcher for low Power offline SMPS | AC DC Converters, Offline Switchers | 2 | Active | The NCV1060 integrate a fixed frequency current mode controller with a 670 V MOSFET. Available in a SOIC-10 package, the NCP1060 offer a high level of integration, including soft−start, frequency−jittering, short−circuit protection, skip−cycle, adjustable peak current set point, ramp compensation, and a Dynamic Self−Supply (eliminating the need for an auxiliary winding).Unlike other monolithic solutions, the NCP1060 is quiet by nature: during nominal load operation, the part switches at one of the available frequencies (60 or 100 kHz). When the output power demand diminishes, the IC automatically enters frequency foldback mode and provides excellent efficiency at light loads. When the power demand reduces further, it enters into a skip mode to reduce the standby consumption down to a no load condition.Protection features include: a timer to detect an overload or a short−circuit event, Overvoltage Protection with auto−recovery and AC input line voltage detection (A version). The ON proprietary integrated Over Power Protection (OPP) lets you harness the maximum delivered power without affecting your standby performance simply via external resistors. The NCP1060/NCP1063 family can be seamlessly used both in non-isolated and in isolated topologies. |
