| Development Boards, Kits, Programmers | 3 | Active | The MICRF113 is a high-performance, easy-to-use, single-chip ASK Transmitter IC for remote wireless applications in the 300MHz to 450MHz frequency band. This transmitter IC is a true "data-in, antenna-out" monolithic device.
MICRF113 has three strong attributes: power delivery, operating voltage and operating temperature. In terms of power, the MICRF113 is capable of delivering +10dBm into a 50Ω load. This power level enables a small form factor transmitter (lossy antenna) such as a key fob transmitter to operate near the maximum limit of transmission regulations. In terms of operating voltage, the MICRF113 operates from 1.8V to 3.6V. Many transmitter ICs in the same frequency band stop operating below 2.0V. The MICRF113 will work with most batteries to the end of their useful limits. In terms of operating temperature, the MICRF113 operates from -40°C to +85°C.
The MICRF113 is easy to use. It requires a reference frequency (RF carrier frequency divided by 32 times) generated from a crystal with a few additional external parts to create a complete versatile transmitter.
The MICRF113 operates with Amplitude Shift Keying/On-Off Keyed (ASK/OOK) UHF receiver types from wide-band super-regenerative radios to narrow-band, high-performance super-heterodyne receivers. The MICRF113's maximum ASK bit rate is 20kbps (minimum pulse width of 50µs at ASK pin).
The MICRF113 transmitter solution is ideal for industrial and consumer applications where simplicity and form factor are important.
| RF Transmitters | 1 | Active | The MICRF114 is a simple, low-cost OOK transmitter with programmable output power. It is primarily intended for command and control applications (for example, Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) and Garage Door Opener (GDO) systems, etc.). The transmitter is synthesizer based for high-frequency accuracy. It operates on a single frequency which is determined by the frequency of the crystal connected to the built-in reference oscillator. This frequency can be selected from a wide range. The more popular transmit frequencies require readily available crystal frequencies (for example, a 13.56 MHz crystal for a 433.92 MHz transmit frequency). The RF performance of the transmitter is
compliant with FCC and IC regulations, and with some Japanese standards.
European (ETSI) requirements can be met at low radiated power.
The MICRF114 is optimized for battery-powered applications that feature low current consumption and can operate over a wide supply voltage range. Internal circuits sensitive to supply voltage variations run from the on-chip Low Dropout (LDO) regulator. In order to reduce pin count and system Bill of Materials (BOM), the LDO regulator does not need an external capacitor for stability, and the single-pin reference oscillator has a programmable, integrated crystal load capacitor. The single-ended RF output allows easy matching to monopole antennas with a minimal number of external components.

The pin and function compatible [MICRF220](https://www.microchip.com/en-us/product/Not%20recommended%20for%20new%20designs.%20%20%20The%20pin%20and%20function%20compatible%20MICRF220%20supersedes%20this%20device.) supersedes this device.

| Evaluation Boards | 4 | Active | The MICRF219A is a 300MHz to 450MHz super-heterodyne, image-reject, RF receiver with automatic gain control, ASK/OOK demodulator, analog RSSI output, and integrated squelch features. It only requires a crystal and a minimum number of external components to implement. The MICRF219A is ideal for low-cost, low-power, RKE, TPMS, and remote actuation applications.
The MICRF219A achieves -110dBm sensitivity at a bit rate of 1kbps with 0.1% BER. Four demodulator filter bandwidths are selectable in binary steps from 1625Hz to 13kHz at 433.92MHz, allowing the device to support bit rates up to 20kbps.
The device operates from a supply voltage of 3.0V to 3.6V, and typically consumes 4.3mA of supply current at 315MHz and 6.0mA at 433.92MHz. A shutdown mode reduces supply current to 0.1µA typical. The squelch feature decreases the activity on the data output pin until valid bits are detected while maintaining overall receiver sensitivity.
