ATMXT449TD-AmaXTouch Touchscreen Controller | Data Acquisition | 3 | Active | In Production
The ATMXT449TD-A Automotive touchscreen controller is aimed at display sizes up to 8" used in center stacks, navigation systems or rear seat entertainment systems. This family of automotive touchscreen controller brings Microchip’s unmatched Adaptive Sensing technology to the Automotive market. It enables dynamic touch classification, a feature that automatically and intelligently switches between self- and mutual-capacitance sensing to provide users a seamless transition between a finger touch and glove touch. Adaptive Sensing is also resistant to water and moisture and ensures superior touch performance even in these harsh conditions.
In addition, the ATMXT449TD-A supports Hover operation, which tracks the position of the finger when it floats within 20mm of the touchscreen. Hover allows user interaction without making a physical contact, and brings a more dynamic interface to user applications.

ATMXT640TmaXTouch Touchscreen Controller | Evaluation Boards | 6 | Active | The recommended alternative touch controller for new designs is [ATMXT640UD](https://www.microchip.com/en-us/product/atmxt640ud).
The ATMXT640U touchscreen controller is aimed at display sizes up to 8.2" used in Industrial designs. This brand new family of touchscreen controller brings Microchip’s unmatched Adaptive Sensing technology to the Industrial market. It enables dynamic touch classification, a feature that automatically and intelligently switches between self-capacitance and mutual-capacitance sensing to provide users a seamless transition between a finger touch and glove touch. Adaptive Sensing is also highly resistant to moisture. Proprietary differential touch sensing delivers unparalleled noise immunity ensuring superior touch performance even in harsh environments.
**Support**: off the shelf maXTouch [standard modules](https://www.microchip.com/en-us/products/touch-and-gesture/design-partners) are available to help shorten development time and reduce risk. Microchip also has a strong selection of factory trained [global touch sensor module partners](https://www.microchip.com/en-us/products/touch-and-gesture/design-partners) to help support custom touch sensor and/or touchscreen display designs. |
ATMXT640UDmaXTouch Touchscreen Controller | Data Acquisition | 5 | Active | The ATMXT640UD touchscreen controller includes three families aimed at display sizes up to 10-inch:
· General industrial/medical/payment (with Device Encryption): mXT640UD 2.0
· General Industrial Windows OS (with HID protocol): mXT640UD 1.0
· Home Appliances (with IEC/UL 60730 Class B functional safety certification): MXT640UD-HA1 and [MXT448UD-HA1](https://www.microchip.com/en-us/product/ATMXT448UD)
Proprietary differential touch sensing delivers unparalleled noise immunity ensuring superior touch performance even in harsh environments. It enables detection and tracking of multi-finger thick gloved touch through a wide variety of overlay materials and thicknesses, even in the presence of moisture, water and even salt water. This SNR combined with a high acquisition speed provides a fast, accurate and reliable a touch position. The controller also incorporates a new self and sensor diagnostic function, which constantly monitors the integrity of the touch system
The HA1 versions are aimed at the home appliance market where Functional Safety is required. These devices are IEC/UL 60730 certified and offer unique safety-related features that enable system shut off through an intuitive soft button on a touchscreen, removing the requirement for an external safety certified stop or cancel button and associated microcontroller (MCU). They also allow an appliance to detect a touchscreen failure and shut down the appliance automatically through a variety of self-test capabilities. |
