TC122350mA CMOS LDO with Shutdown | Power Management (PMIC) | 5 | Active | The TC1223 and TC1224 are high accuracy (typically ±0.5%) CMOS upgrade for older (bipolar) low dropout regulators such as the LP2980. Designed specifically for battery-operated systems, the devices CMOS constructio neliminates wasted ground current, significantly extending battery life. Total supply current is typically 50 µA at full load ( 20 to 60 times lower than in bipolar regulators). Key features for the TC1223 and TC1224 include ultra low-noise operation; very low dropout voltage (typically 85 mV and 180 mV,respectively, at full load) and fast response to step changes in load. Supply current is reduced to 0.5 µA (max) and VOUT falls to zero when the shutdown input is low. The devices also incorporate both over-temperature and over-current protection. The TC1223 and TC1224 are stable with an output capacitor of only 1 µF and have a maximum output current of 50 mA and 100 mA, respectively. For higher output versions, please see the TC1107, TC1108, and TC1173 (IOUT = 300 mA) data sheets. |

TC1232Microprocessor Monitor w/ Watchdog Timer | Power Management (PMIC) | 9 | Active | TC1232 is a fully-integrated processor supervisor. It provides three important functions to safeguard processor sanity: precision power on/off reset control, watchdog timer and external reset override. On power-up, the TC1232 holds the processor in the reset state for a minimum of 250msec after VCC is within tolerance to ensure a stable system start-up. Microprocessor sanity is monitored by the on-board watchdog circuit. The microprocessor must provide a periodic low-going signal on the ST input. Should the processor fail to supply this signal within the selected time-out period (150msec, 600msec or 1200msec), an out-of-control processor is indicated and the TC1232 issues a processor reset as a result. The outputs of the TC1232 are immediately driven active when the PB input is brought low by an external push-button switch or other electronic signal. When connected to a push-button switch, the TC1232 provides contact debounce. The TC1232 is packaged in a space-saving 8-pin plastic DIP or SOIC package and requires no external components. |
TC1240APositive Doubling Charge Pumps with Shutdown | Voltage Regulators - DC DC Switching Regulators | 2 | Active | The TC1240A is a doubling CMOS charge-pump voltage converter in a small 6-Pin SOT-23A package. TC1240A doubles an input voltage which can range from +2.5V to +5.5V. Conversion efficiency is typically >99%. Internal oscillator frequency is 160kHz for the TC1240A. The TC1240A has an active high shutdown which limits the current consumption of the device to less than 1µA. External component requirement is only two capacitors for standard voltage doubler applications. All other circuitry, including control, oscillator, power MOSFETs are integrated on-chip. Typical supply current is 550µA and the device is available in a 6-Pin SOT-23A surface mount package. |
