LTC141914-Bit, 800ksps Sampling A/D Converter with Shutdown | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | 16 | Active | The LTC1419 is a 1µs, 800ksps, 14-bit sampling A/D converter that draws only 150mW from ±5V supplies. This easy-to-use device includes a high dynamic range sample-and-hold and a precision reference. Two digitally selectable power shutdown modes provide flexibility for low power systems. The LTC1419 has a full-scale input range of ±2.5V. Outstanding AC performance includes 81.5dB S/(N + D) and 93dB THD with a 100kHz input; 80dB S/(N + D) and 86dB THD at the Nyquist input frequency of 400kHz.The unique differential input sample-and-hold can acquire single-ended or differential input signals up to its 20MHz bandwidth. The 60dB common mode rejection allows users to eliminate ground loops and common mode noise by measuring signals differentially from the source. The ADC has a µP compatible, 14-bit parallel output port. There is no pipeline delay in the conversion results. A separate convert start input and data ready signal (BUSY) ease connections to FIFOs, DSPs and microprocessors.Third Party Vendor AvailabilityADI partners with third party vendors who assemble and test packaged products with RH Dice inside.Part NumberDescriptionSCD or SMD#RAD141914-Bit, 800ksps Sampling ADC With ShutdownViewApplicationsTelecommunicationsDigital Signal ProcessingMultiplexed Data Acquisition SystemsHigh Speed Data AcquisitionSpectrum AnalysisImaging Systems |

LTC1421Hot Swap Controller | PMIC | 18 | Active | The LTC1421/LTC1421-2.5 are Hot Swap™controllers that allow a board to be safely inserted and removed from a live backplane. Using external N-channel pass transistors, the board supply voltages can be ramped up at a programmable rate. Two high side switch drivers control the N-channel gates for supply voltages ranging from 3V to 12V.A programmable electronic circuit breaker protects against shorts. Warning signals indicate that the circuit breaker has tripped, a power failure has occurred or that the switch drivers are turned off. The reset output can be used to generate a system reset when the power cycles or a fault occurs. The two connect inputs can be used with staggered connector pins to indicate board insertion or removal. The power-on reset input can be used to cycle the board power or clear the circuit breaker. The trip point of the ground sense comparator is set at 0.1V for LTC1421 and 2.5V for LTC1421-2.5.The LTC1421/LTC1421-2.5 are available in 24-pin SO and SSOP packages.ApplicationsHot Board InsertionElectronic Circuit Breaker |

LTC1428-50Micropower 8-Bit Current Sink Output D/A Converter | Digital to Analog Converters (DAC) | 2 | Active | The LTC1428-50 is a micropower 8-bit current sink output D/A converter (DAC) with an output range of 0µA to 50µA. In 3.3V or 5V systems, the DAC IOUTpin can be biased from 2V to 10V. Supply current is only 130µA. Shutdown mode drops the supply current to 0.2µA.The LTC1428-50 communicates with external circuitry by using one of three interface modes: standard 3-wire serial mode or one of two pulse modes. Upon power-up, the internal counter resets to 10000000B, the DAC output assumes midrange and the chip configures to 3-wire or pulse mode depending on theCSsignal level. In 3-wire mode, the system MPU can serially transfer 8-bit data to and from the LTC1428-50. In pulse mode, the upper six bits of the DAC output program for increment-only (1-wire interface) or increment/decrement (2-wire interface) operation depending on the DINsignal level. In increment-only mode, the counter rolls over and sets the DAC to zero if the counter increases beyond full scale. In increment/decrement mode, the counter stops incrementing at full scale, stops decrementing at zero scale and does not roll over.LTC1428-50 is available in an 8-pin SO package.ApplicationsLCD Contrast ControlBacklight Brightness ControlPower Supply Voltage AdjustmentBattery Charger Voltage/Current AdjustmentGaAs FET Bias AdjustmentTrimmer Pot Elimination |

LTC1430High Power Step-Down Switching Regulator Controller | Voltage Regulators - Special Purpose | 11 | Active | The LTC1430A is a high power, high efficiency switching regulator controller optimized for 5V to 1.xV-3.xV applications. It includes a precision internal reference and an internal feedback system that can provide output regulation of ±1% over temperature, load current and line voltage shifts. The LTC1430A uses a synchronous switching architecture with two N-channel output devices, eliminating the need for a high power, high cost P-channel device. Additionally, it senses output current across the drain-source resistance of the upper N-channel FET, providing an adjustable current limit without an external low value sense resistor. The LTC1430A includes a fixed frequency PWM oscillator for low output ripple under virtually all operating conditions. The 200kHz free-running clock frequency can be externally adjusted from 100kHz to above 500kHz. The LTC1430A’s maximum duty cycle is typically 93.5% compared to 88% for the LTC1430. This permits 3.3V to 2.xV conversion using a low power 5V supply. The LTC1430A features low 350µA quiescent current, allowing greater than 90% efficiency operation in converter designs from 1A to greater than 50A output current. Shutdown mode drops the LTC1430A supply current to 1µA.For new designs, refer to the LTC3830.ApplicationsPower Supply for Pentium®II and AMD-K6®MicroprocessorsHigh Power 5V to 3.xV RegulatorsLocal Regulation for Dual Voltage Logic BoardsLow Voltage, High Current Battery Regulation |
