LT1139AAdvanced Low Power 5V RS232 Drivers/Receivers with Small Capacitors (Includes LT1130 thru LT1141) | Interface | 3 | Active | The LT1130A/LT1140A series of RS232 drivers/receivers features special bipolar construction techniques which protect the drivers and receivers beyond the fault conditions stipulated for RS232. Driver outputs and receiver inputs can be shorted to ±30V without damaging the device or the power supply generator. In addition, the RS232 I/O pins are resilient to multiple ±10kV ESD strikes. An advanced driver output stage operates up to 250kbaud while driving heavy capacitive loads. Supply current is typically 12mA, competitive with CMOS devices.Several members of the series include flexible operating mode controls. The DRIVER DISABLE pin disables the drivers and the charge pump, the ON/OFFpin shuts down all circuitry. While shut down, the drivers and receivers assume high impedance output states. |

LT1158Half Bridge N-Channel Power MOSFET Driver | PMIC | 7 | Active | A single input pin on the LT1158 synchronously controls two N-channel power MOSFETs in a totem pole configuration. Unique adaptive protection against shoot-through currents eliminates all matching requirements for the two MOSFETs. This greatly eases the design of high efficiency motor control and switching regulator systems.A continuous current limit loop in the LT1158 regulates short-circuit current in the top power MOSFET. Higher start-up currents are allowed as long as the MOSFET VDSdoes not exceed 1.2V. By returning theFAULToutput to the enable input, the LT1158 will automatically shut down in the event of a fault and retry when an internal pull-up current has recharged the enable capacitor. An on-chip charge pump is switched in when needed to turn on the top N-channel MOSFET continuously. Special circuitry ensures that the top side gate drive is safely maintained in the transition between PWM and DC operation. The gate-to-source voltages are internally limited to 14.5V when operating at higher supply voltages.ApplicationsPWM of High Current Inductive LoadsHalf Bridge and Full Bridge Motor ControlSynchronous Step-Down Switching RegulatorsThree-Phase Brushless Motor DriveHigh Current Transducer DriversBattery-Operated Logic-Level MOSFETs |

LT1161Quad Protected High-Side MOSFET Driver | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | 6 | Active | The LT1161 is a quad high-side gate driver allowing the use of low cost N-channel power MOSFETs for high-side switching applications. It has four independent switch channels, each containing a completely self-contained charge pump to fully enhance an N-channel MOSFET switch with no external components. Also included in each switch channel is a drain sense comparator that is used to sense switch current. When preset current level is exceeded, the switch is turned off. The switch remains off for a period of time set by an external timing capacitor and then automatically attempts to restart. If the fault is still present, this cycle repeats until the fault is removed, thus protecting the MOSFET.The LT1161 has been specifically designed for harsh operating environments such as industrial, avionics, and automotive applications where poor supply regulation and/or transients may be present. The device will not sustain damage from supply voltages of –15V to 60V.ApplicationsIndustrial ControlAvionics SystemsAutomotive SwitchesStepper Motor and DC Motor ControlElectronic Circuit Breaker |

LT1166Power Output Stage Automatic Bias System | Power Management (PMIC) | 3 | Active | The LT1166 is a bias generating system for controlling class AB output current in high powered amplifiers. When connected with external transistors, the circuit becomes a unity-gain voltage follower. The LT1166 is ideally suited for driving power MOSFET devices because it eliminates all quiescent current adjustments and critical transistor matching. Multiple output stages using the LT1166 can be paralleled to obtain higher output current.Thermal runaway of the quiescent point is eliminated because the bias system senses the current in each power transistor by using a small external sense resistor. A high speed regulator loop controls the amount of drive applied to each power device. The LT1166 can be biased from a pair of resistors or current sources and because it operates on the drive voltage to the output transistors, it operates on any supply voltage.ApplicationsBiasing Power MOSFETsHigh Voltage AmplifiersShaker Table AmplifiersAudio Power Amplifiers |
