DS1973iButton 4Kb EEPROM | Specialized | 2 | Active | The iButton®4Kb EEPROM (DS1973) is a rugged read/write data carrier that identifies and stores relevant information about the product or person to which it is attached. This information can be accessed with minimal hardware, for example a single port pin of a micro-controller. The DS1973 consists of a factory-lasered registration number that includes a unique 48-bit serial number, an 8-bit CRC, and an 8-bit Family Code (23H) plus 4096 bits of EEPROM. The power to program and read the DS1973 is derived entirely from the 1-Wire®communication line. The memory is organized as sixteen pages of 256 bits each. The 64-bit registration number provides a guaranteed unique identity which allows for absolute traceability. Data is transferred serially via the 1-Wire protocol which requires only a single data lead and a ground return. The durable MicroCan package is highly resistant to harsh environments such as dirt, moisture, and shock. Its compact button-shaped profile is self-aligning with cup-shaped receptacles, allowing the DS1973 to be used easily by human operators or automatic equipment. Accessories permit the DS1973 to be mounted on printed circuit boards, plastic key fobs, photo-ID badges, ID bracelets, and many other objects. Applications include work-in-progress tracking, electronic travelers, access control and storage of calibration constants. |

DS1982iButton 1Kb Add-Only | Specialized | 3 | Active | The iButton®1Kb add-only (DS1982) is a rugged read/write data carrier that identifies and stores relevant information about the product or person to which it is attached. This information can be accessed with minimal hardware, for example, a single port pin of a microcontroller. The DS1982 consists of a factory-lasered registration number that includes an unique 48-bit serial number, an 8-bit CRC, and an 8-bit Family Code (09h) plus 1Kb of EPROM which is user-programmable. The power to program and read the DS1982 is derived entirely from the 1-Wire communication line. Data is transferred serially via the 1-Wire protocol which requires only a single data lead and a ground return. The entire device can be programmed and then write-protected if desired. Alternatively, the part may be programmed multiple times with new data being appended to, but not overwriting, existing data with each subsequent programming of the device. Note: Individual bits can be changed only from a logical 1 to a logical 0, never from a logical 0 to a logical 1. A provision is also included for indicating that a certain page or pages of data are no longer valid and have been replaced with new or updated data that is now residing at an alternate page address. This page address redirection allows software to patch data and enhance the flexibility of the device as a standalone database. The 48-bit serial number that is factory-lasered into each DS1982 provides a guaranteed unique identity which allows for absolute traceability. The durable MicroCan package is highly resistant to harsh environments such as dirt, moisture, and shock. Its compact button-shaped profile is self-aligning with cup-shaped receptacles, allowing the DS1982 to be used easily by human operators or automatic equipment. Accessories permit the DS1982 to be mounted on printed circuit boards, plastic key fobs, photo-ID badges, ID bracelets, and many other objects. Applications include work-in-progress tracking, electronic travelers, access control, storage of calibration constants, and debit tokens. |

DS1990RSerial NumberiButton | Specialized | 1 | Active | The DS1990R Serial NumberiButton® is a rugged data carrier that serves as an electronic registration number for automatic identification. Data is transferred serially through the 1-Wire® protocol, which requires only a single data lead and a ground return. Every DS1990R is factory lasered with a guaranteed unique 64-bit registration number that allows for absolute traceability. The durable stainless-steeliButton package is highly resistant to environmental hazards such as dirt, moisture, and shock. Its compact coin-shaped profile is self-aligning with mating receptacles, allowing the DS1990R to be used easily by human operators. Accessories permit the DS1990RiButton to be mounted on almost any object, including containers, pallets, and bags. The DS1990R is a fully compatible variant of the DS1990A. In applications where a presence pulse on contact is critical the DS1990R should be preferred over the DS1990A.ApplicationsAccess ControlInventory ControlTool ManagementWork-in-Progress Tracking |
DS1992iButton 1Kb/4Kb Memory | Memory - Modules, Cards | 1 | Active | The iButton®1Kb/4Kb memory (DS1992) is a rugged read/write data carrier that act as a localized database, easily accessible with minimal hardware. The nonvolatile memory and optional timekeeping capability offer a simple solution to storing and retrieving vital information pertaining to the object to which the iButton device is attached. Data is transferred serially through the 1-Wire®protocol that requires only a single data lead and a ground return. The scratchpad is an additional page that acts as a buffer when writing to memory. Data is first written to the scratchpad where it can be read back. After the data has been verified, a copy scratchpad command transfers the data to memory. This process ensures data integrity when modifying the memory. A 48-bit serial number is factory lasered into each DS199_ to provide a guaranteed unique identity that allows for absolute traceability. The durable MicroCan®package is highly resistant to environmental hazards such as dirt, moisture, and shock. Its compact coin-shaped profile is self-aligning with mating receptacles, allowing the DS199_ to be easily used by human operators. Accessories permit the DS199_ to be mounted on almost any surface including plastic key fobs, photo-ID badges, and PC boards. Applications include access control, work-in-progress tracking, electronic travelers, storage of calibration constants, and debit tokens.ApplicationsDebit TokensElectronic TravelersStorage of Calibration ConstantsWork-in-Progress Tracking |
