MAX2968th-Order, Lowpass, Switched-Capacitor Filters | Filters - Active | 7 | Active | The MAX291/MAX292/MAX295/MAX296 are easy-to-use, 8th-order, lowpass, switched-capacitor filters that can be set up with corner frequencies from 0.1Hz to 25kHz (MAX291/MAX292) or 0.1Hz to 50kHz (MAX295/MAX296).The MAX291/MAX295 Butterworth filters provide maximally flat passband response, and the MAX292/MAX296 Bessel filters provide low overshoot and fast settling. All four filters have fixed responses, so the design task is limited to selecting the clock frequency that controls the filter's corner frequency. An external capacitor is used to generate a clock using the internal oscillator, or an external clock signal can be used. An uncommitted operational amplifier (noninverting input grounded) is provided for building a continuous time lowpass filter for post-filtering or anti-aliasing.Produced in an 8-pin DIP/SO and a 16-pin wide SO package, and requiring a minimum of external components, the MAX291 series delivers very aggressive performance from a tiny area.Applications50Hz/60Hz Line-Noise FilteringADC Anti-Aliasing FilterDAC Post-FilteringNoise Analysis |

MAX2982Industrial Broadband Powerline Modem | Evaluation Boards | 3 | Active | The MAX2982 powerline transceiver utilizes state-of-the-art CMOS design techniques to deliver the highest level of performance, flexibility, and operational temperature range at reduced cost. This highly integrated design combines the media access control (MAC) and the Physical (PHY) layers in a single device. The MAX2982 digital baseband and its companion device, the MAX2981 analog front-end (AFE) with integrated line driver, offer a complete high-speed powerline communication solution fully compliant with HomePlug® 1.0 Powerline Alliance Specification. The MAX2982 offers reliable broadband communication for industrial environments. The PHY layer comprises an 84-carrier OFDM modulation engine and forward error correcting (FEC) blocks. The OFDM engine can modulate the signals in one of four modes of operation: DBPSK, DQPSK (1/2 rate FEC), DQPSK (3/4 rate FEC), and ROBO. The MAX2982 offers -1dB SNR performance in ROBO mode, a robust mode of operation, to maintain communication over harsh industrial line conditions. Additionally, advanced narrow-band interference rejection circuitry provides immunity from jammer signals. The MAX2982 offers extensive flexibility by integrating an ARM946E-S™microprocessor allowing feature enhancement, worldwide regulatory compliance, and improved testability. Optional spectral shaping and notching profiles provide an unparalleled level of flexibility in system design. Additionally, the automatic channel adaptation and interference rejection features of the MAX2982 guarantee outstanding performance. Privacy is provided by a hard-macro DES encryption with key management. The MAX2982 supports an IEEE®802.3 standard Media Independent Interface (MII), Reduced Media Independent Interface (RMII), synchronous FIFO supporting a glue-free interface to microcontrollers, and 10/100 Ethernet MAC. These interfaces and standards compliance simplify configuration of monitoring and control networks. Fast response time and an integrated temperature sensor make the MAX2982 an excellent solution for real-time control over power lines. The MAX2982 operates over the -40°C to +105°C temperature range and is available in a 128-pin, lead-free, LQFP package.ApplicationsBroadband Over Shared Coax/Copper LineBuilding AutomationIndustrial AutomationMotor ControlRemote Monitoring and Control |

MAX3000+1.2V to +5.5V, ±15kV ESD-Protected, 0.1µA, 35Mbps, 8-Channel Level Translators | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | 3 | Active | The MAX3000E/MAX3001E/MAX3002–MAX3012 8-channel level translators provide the level shifting necessary to allow data transfer in a multivoltage system. Externally applied voltages, VCCand VL, set the logic levels on either side of the device. Logic signals present on the VLside of the device appear as a higher voltage logic signal on the VCCside of the device, and vice-versa.The MAX3000E/MAX3001E/MAX3002/MAX3003 use an architecture specifically designed to be bidirectional without the use of a directional pin.The MAX3000E/MAX3001E/MAX3002/MAX3004–MAX3012 feature an EN input that, when low, reduces the VCCand VLsupply currents to < 2µA. The MAX3000E/MAX3001E also have ±15kV ESD protection on the I/O VCCside for greater protection in applications that route signals externally. The MAX3000E operates at a guaranteed datarate of 230kbps. The MAX3001E operates at a guaranteed data rate of 4Mbps. The MAX3002–MAX3012 operate at a guaranteed data rate of 20Mbps over the entire specified operating voltage range. The MAX3000E/MAX3001E/MAX3002–MAX3012 accept VLvoltages from +1.2V to +5.5V and VCCvoltages from +1.65V to +5.5V, making them ideal for data transfer between low-voltage ASICs/PLDs and higher voltage systems. The MAX3000E/MAX3001E/MAX3002–MAX3012 are available in 20-bump UCSP™, 20-pin TQFN (5mm x 5mm), and 20-pin TSSOP packages.ApplicationsCell Phone CradlesCell PhonesGlobal Positioning Systems (GPS)Low-Cost Serial InterfacesLow-Voltage ASIC Level TranslationPortable Communication DevicesPortable POS SystemsSmart Card ReadersSPI™ and MICROWIRE™ Level TranslationTelecommunications Equipment |
