MAX1795Low-Supply Current, Step-Up DC-DC Converters with True Shutdown | Voltage Regulators - DC DC Switching Regulators | 3 | Active | The MAX1795/MAX1796/MAX1797 are high-efficiency, step-up DC-DC converters intended for small portable hand-held devices. These devices feature Maxim's True Shutdown™ circuitry, which fully disconnects the output from the input in shutdown, improves efficiency, and eliminates costly external components. All three devices also feature Maxim's proprietary LX-damping circuitry for reduced EMI in noise-sensitive applications. For additional in-system flexibility, a battery monitoring comparator (LBI/LBO) remains active even when the DC-DC converter is in shutdown. The input voltage range is +0.7V to VOUT, where VOUTcan be set from +2V to +5.5V. Startup is guaranteed from +0.85V. The MAX1795/MAX1796/MAX1797 have a preset, pin-selectable 5V or 3.3V output. The output can also be adjusted to other voltages, using two external resistors. The three devices differ only in their current limits, allowing optimization of external components for different loads: the MAX1795, MAX1796, and MAX1797 have current limits of 0.25A, 0.5A, and 1A, respectively. All devices are packaged in a compact, 8-pin µMAX® package that is only 1.09mm tall and half the size of an 8-pin SO.ApplicationsPDAs and PalmtopsPortable Digital Audio PlayersPortable TerminalsWireless Handsets |

MAX180Complete, 100ksps, 8-Channel, 12-Bit Data Acquisition Systems | Development Boards, Kits, Programmers | 14 | Active | The MAX180/MAX181 are complete 12-bit Data Acquisition System (DAS) which combine 8/6 channel input multiplexer, high bandwidth Track-and-Hold (T/H), low-drift zener reference, and flexible microprocessor (µP) interface with high conversion speed and low power consuption. The MAX180/MAX181 can be configured by a µP for unipolar or bipolar conversions and single-ended or differential inputs. Both devices sample and digitize at 100kHz throughout rate and feature a fast 8- or 16-bit µP interface. The MAX180 has 8 analog input channels, while the MAX181 has 6. The multiplexer output of the MAX180 is fed directly into the Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) input. The MAX181 brings out both the multiplexer output and ADC input to separate pins, allowing a programmable gain amplifier to be inserted between the MUX and the ADC.The systems allow the user to choose between an internal or an external reference. Furthermore, the internal reference value and the offest can be adjusted, allowing the overall system gain and offset errors to be nulled. The multiplexer has high impedence inputs, simplifying analog drive requirements.ApplicationsAutomated Test Equipment (ATE)Digital Signal Processing (DSP)High-Accuracy Process ControlHigh-Speed Servo Loops |
