The device provides 100Mbit/s transmit and receive capability over a single Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) cable. ****The LAN8770 is available in a Grade 1 Automotive (-40°C to +125°C) temperature range and is optimized for AEC-Q100 automotive use cases such as Automated Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), Infotainment, Telematics, smart antennas, and in-vehicle backbones. In addition, the family is [Microchip Functional Safety Ready](https://www.microchip.com/design-centers/functional-safety); specifically designed to simplify customers end-product ISO26262 safety certification with the support of specialized hardware safety features, Failure Modes, Effects, and Diagnostic Analysis (FMEDA) and safety manual.
