The AT91R40008 series microcontrollers is a member of the AT91 16/32-bit MCU family based on the ARM7TDMI core. This processor features a high performance 32 bit RISC architecture with a high density 16-bit instruction set. IN addition it supports 256K of on-chip SRAM, and an external bus interface featuring direct connection to external Flash memory.
