Description

General part information

ICM7218 Series

The ICM7218BIPI+ is an 8 digital LED display driver in 28 pin DIP package. This display driver interfaces microprocessor to an 8-digit, 7 segment, numeric LED display. It includes two types of 7 segment decoders, multiplex scan circuitry, segment and digital drivers and an 8 x 8 static memory. It accepts data in a serial format and drive common cathode display. It can display data in either hexadecimal or code B format. It also features a No decode mode where each individual segment can be independently controlled. This is particularly useful in driving bar graphs. It is used in bar graph display and panel meters.
