Description

General part information

NCV887740 Series

The NCV8877 is a Non-Synchronous Boost controller designed tosupply a minimum output voltage during Start-Stop vehicle operationbattery voltage sags. The controller drives an external N-channelMOSFET. The device uses peak current mode control with internalslope compensation. The IC incorporates an internal regulator thatsupplies charge to the gate driver.Protection features include, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, protection and thermal shutdown.Additional features include low quiescent current sleep modeoperation. The NCV8877 is enabled when the supply voltage dropsbelow the wake up threshold. Boost Operation is initiated when thesupply voltage drops below the regulation set point.
