General part information

NCID9411 Series

The NCID94xx is a galvanically isolated high−speed quad−channeldigital isolator with output enable. This device supports isolatedcommunications thereby allowing digital signals to communicatebetween systems without conducting ground loops or hazardousvoltages.It utilizes ON Semiconductor patented galvanic off−chip capacitorisolation technology and optimized IC design to achieve highinsulation and high noise immunity, characterized by high commonmode rejection and power supply rejection specifications. The thickceramic substrate yields capacitors with ~25 times the thickness ofthin film on−chip capacitors and coreless transformers. The result is acombination of the electrical performance benefits that digitalisolators offer with the safety reliability of a >0.5 mm insulator barriersimilar to what has historically been offered by optocouplers.The device is housed in a 16−pin wide body small outline package.
