PM6641Monolithic VR for Chipset and DDR2/3 Supply for Ultra-Mobile PC (UMPC) Applications | Power Management (PMIC) | 1 | Active | The PM6641 is a monolithic voltage regulator module specifically designed to supply DDR2/3 memory and chipset in ultra-mobile PC and real estate constrained portable systems.
It integrates three independent, adjustable, constant frequency buck converters, a ±2 Apk low drop-out (LDO) linear regulator and a ±15 mA low noise buffered reference.
Each regulator provides basic UV and OV protections, programmable soft-start and current limit and active soft-end.
Pulse-skipping technique is performed to increase efficiency at very light load. |

PM6680Dual synchronous step down controller with adjustable output voltages plus LDO | Power Management (PMIC) | 3 | Active | PM6680A is a dual step-down controller specifically designed to provide extremely high efficiency conversion, with losses current sensing technique. The constant on-time architecture assures fast load transient response and the embedded voltage feed-forward provides nearly constant switching frequency operation. An embedded integrator control loop compensates the DC voltage error due to the output ripple. Pulse skipping technique increases efficiency at very light load. Moreover a minimum switching frequency of 33kHz is selectable to avoid audio noise issues. The PM6680A provides a selectable switching frequency, allowing three different values of switching frequencies for the two operation of the two switching sections. The output voltages OUT1 and OUT2 can be adjusted from 0.9V to 5V and from 0.9V to 3.3V respectively. |

PM6686Dual step-down controller with adjustable voltages, adjustable LDO and auxiliary charge pump controller for notebook | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | 2 | Active | PM6686 is a dual step-down controller specifically designed to provide extremely high efficiency conversion, with lossless current sensing technique. The constant on-time architecture assures fast load transient response and the embedded voltage feed-forward provides nearly constant switching frequency operation. Pulse skipping technique increases efficiency at very light load. Moreover a minimum switching frequency of 33 kHz is selectable to avoid audio noise issues. The PM6686 provides a selectable switching frequency, allowing three different values of switching frequencies for the two switching sections. The output voltages OUT1 and OUT2 can be programmed to regulate 1.5 V/5 V and 1.05 V/3.3 V outputs respectively or can deliver two adjustable output voltages. An optional external charge pump can be monitored.
This device embeds a linear regulator that can provide 3.3 V/5 V or an adjustable voltage from 0.7 V to 4.5 V output. The linear regulator provides up to 100 mA output current. LDO can be bypassed with the switching regulator outputs or with an external power supply (switchover function).
When in switchover, the LDO output can source up to 200 mA. |
