L6920DBSynchronous rectifier step up converter | Voltage Regulators - DC DC Switching Regulators | 1 | Active | The L6920DB is a high efficiency monolithic step up switching converter IC especially designed for battery powered application.
Package is MSOP8 in order to minimize PCB space. It requires only three external components to realize the conversion from the battery voltage to the selected output voltage.
The minimum output voltage is 1.8V: suitable to supply the most advanced ASIC and μP.
High switching frequency allows for a low profile, small sized inductor and output capacitor to be used.
Reference voltage, low battery detection and Shutdown are provided together with over current. |

L6924DBattery charger system with integrated power switch for Li-Ion/Li-Polymer | Power Management (PMIC) | 1 | Active | The L6924D is a fully monolithic battery charger dedicated to single-cell Li-Ion/Polymer battery packs. It is the ideal solution for space-limited applications, like handheld equipment, and digital cameras. It integrates all of the power elements (the power MOSFET, reverse blocking diode and the sense resistor) in a small VFQFPN16 (3 x 3 mm) package. When an external voltage-regulated wall adapter is used, the L6924D works in linear mode, and charges the battery in a constant current/constant voltage (CC/CV) profile. Moreover, when a current-limited adapter is used, the device can operate in quasi-pulse mode, dramatically reducing the power dissipation. Regardless of the charging approach, a closed-loop thermal control avoids device overheating. The device has an operating input voltage ranging from 2.5 V to 12 V. The L6924D allows the user to program many parameters, such as pre-charge current, fast-charge current, pre-charge voltage threshold, end-of-charge current threshold, and charge timer. The L6924D offers two open collector outputs for diagnostic purposes, which can be used to either drive two external LEDs or communicate with a host microcontroller. Finally, the L6924D also provides very flexible control of the charge process termination and gas gauge capability, as well as other functions, such as checking for battery presence, and monitoring and protecting the battery from unsafe thermal conditions. |
L6924UUSB compatible battery charger system with integrated power switch for Li-Ion/Li-Polymer | Battery Chargers | 1 | Active | The L6924U is a fully monolithic battery charger that safely charges single-cell Li-Ion/Polymer battery from either a USB power source or an AC adapter. In USB mode, the L6924U supports both low-power and high-power mode. Alternatively the device can charge from an AC wall adapter. The ideal solution for space-limited portable products integrates the power MOSFET, reverse blocking diode, sense resistor and thermal protection into a compact VFQFPN16 package. When an external voltage regulated adapter or USB port is used, the L6924U works in linear mode, and charges the battery in a constant current constant voltage (CC/CV) profile. Moreover, when a current-limited adapter is used, the device can operate in quasi-pulse mode, dramatically reducing the power dissipation. L6928High efficiency monolithic synchronous step-down regulator | Power Management (PMIC) | 3 | Active | The device is a DC-DC monolithic regulator specifically designed to provide high efficiency. The L6928 supply voltage can be as low as 2 V to be used in single Li-Ion cell supplied applications. Output voltage can be selected by an external divider down to 0.6 V. Duty cycle can saturate 100% allowing low-dropout operation. The device is based on a 1.4 MHz fixed frequency, current mode architecture. Low consumption mode operation can be selected at light load conditions, allowing switching losses to be reduced. The L6928 is externally synchronized by a clock, which makes it useful in noise sensitive applications. Other features like Power Good, overvoltage protection, short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown (150 °C) are also present. |
