NCP2811Audio Power Amplifier, True Ground Stereo Headphone | Amplifiers | 5 | Active | NCP2811 is a dual audio power amplifier designed for portable communication device applications such as mobile phones. This part is capable of delivering 27 mW of continuous average power into a 16 Ω load from a 2.7 V power supply with a THD+N of 1%. Based on the power supply delivered to the device, an internal power management block generates a symmetrical positive and negative voltage. Thus, the internal amplifiers provide outputs referenced to Ground. In this NOCAPTMconfiguration, the two external heavy coupling capacitors can be removed. It offers significant space and cost savings compared to a typical stereo application. NCP2811 is available with an external adjustable gain (version A), or with an internal gain (version B). It reaches a superior PSRR and noise floor. Thus, it offers high fidelity audio sound, as well as a direct connection to the battery. It contains circuitry to prevent from Pop and Click noise that would otherwise occur during turn on and turn off transitions. The device is available in 12 bump CSP package (2 x 1.5 mm) which help to save space on the board. |
NCP2820Audio Power Amplifier, Class D, 2.65 W, Filterless, Mono | Evaluation Boards | 3 | LTB | The NCP2820 is a cost-effective mono Class-D audio power amplifier capable of delivering 2.65W of continuous average power to 4 Ohm Bridge Tied Load from a 5V supply. Under the same conditions, the output power stage can provide 1.4W to a 8 Ohm BTL load with less than 1% THD+N. For cellular handsets or PDAs, it offers sapce and cost savings because no output filter is required when using inductive transducers. With more than 90% efficiency and very low shutdown current it increases the lifetime of your battery and drastically lowers the junction temperature. The NCP2820 processes analog inputs with a pulse width modulation technique that lowers output noise and THD when compared to a conventional sigma-delta modulator. The device allows independent gain while summing signals from various audio sources. Thus, in cellular handsets, the earpiece, the loudspeaker and even the melody ringer can be driven with a single NCP2820. Due to its low 42uV noise floor, A-weighted, a clean listening is guaranteed no matter the load sensitivity. |

NCP2824Audio Power Amplifier, Class D, with Auto Gain Control (AGC) | Linear | 1 | Obsolete | The NCP2824 is a Filterless Class D amplifier capable of delivering up to 2.4 W to a 4 Ω load with a 5 V supply voltage. With the same battery voltage, it can deliver 1.2 W to an 8 Ω load with less than 1% THD+N. The non-clipping function automatically adjusts the output voltage in order to control the distortion when an excessive input is applied to the amplifier. This adjustment is done thanks to an Automatic Gain Control circuitry (AGC) built into the chip. A simple Single wire interface allows to the non Clipping function to be enabled and disabled. It also allows the maximum distortion level in the output to be configured. A programmable power limit function is also embedded in order to protect speakers from damage caused by an excessive sound level. |

NCP2890Audio Power Amplifier, 1.0 W | Development Boards, Kits, Programmers | 5 | Active | The NCP2890 is an audio power amplifier designed for portable communication device applications such as mobile phone applications. The NCP2890 is capable of delivering 1.0 W of continuous average power to an 8 ohms load from a 5.0 V power supply, and 320 mW to a 4 ohm load from a 2.6 V power supply. The NCP2890 provides high quality audio while requiring few external components and minimal power consumption. It features a low-power consumption shutdown mode, which is achieved by driving the SHUTDOWN pin with logic low.The NCP2890 contains circuitry to prevent from "pop and click" noise that would otherwise occur during turn-on and turn-off transitions. For maximum flexibility, the NCP2890 provides an externally controlled gain (with resistors), as well as an externally controlled turn-on and turn-off times (with the bypass capacitor).Due to its excellent PSRR, it can be directly connected to the battery, saving the use of an LDO.This device is available in the 9-Pin Flip-Chip CSP and the Micro8 package. |
