MC14511BBCD-to-7-Segment Latch/Decoder/Driver | PMIC | 7 | Active | The MC14511B BCD-to-seven segment latch/decoder/driver is constructed with complementary MOS (CMOS) enhancement mode devices and NPN bipolar output drivers in a single monolithic structure. The circuit provides the functions of a 4-bit storage latch, an 8421 BCD-to-seven segment decoder, and an output drive capability. Lamp test (LTbar), blanking (BIbar), and latch enable (LE) inputs are used to test the display, to turn-off or pulse modulate the brightness of the display, and to store a BCD code, respectively. It can be used with seven-segment light-emitting diodes (LED), incandescent, fluorescent, gas discharge, or liquid crystal readouts either directly or indirectly.Applications include instrument (e.g., counter, DVM, etc.) display driver, computer/calculator display driver, cockpit display driver, and various clock, watch, and timer uses. |
MC14512B8-Channel Data Selector | Logic | 6 | Active | The MC14512B is an 8-channel data selector constructed with MOS P-channel and N-channel enhancement mode devices in a single monolithic structure. This data selector finds primary application in signal multiplexing functions. It may also be used for data routing, digital signal switching, signal gating, and number sequence generation. |

MC14514B4-Bit Transparent Latch/4-to-16 Line Decoder | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | 1 | NRND | The MC14514B and MC14515B are two output options of a 4 to 16 line decoder with latched inputs. The MC14514B (output active high option) presents a logical "1" at the selected output, whereas the MC14515B (output active low option) presents a logical "0" at the selected output. The latches are R-S type flip-flops which hold the last input data presented prior to the strobe transition from "1" to "0". These high and low options of a 4-bit latch/4 to 16 line decoder are constructed with N-channel and P-channel enhancement mode devices in a single monolithic structure. The latches are R-S type flip-flops and data is admitted upon a signal incident at the strobe input, decoded, and presented at the output. These complementary circuits find primary use in decoding applications where low power dissipation and/or high noise immunity is desired. |
MC14515B4-Bit Transparent Latch/4-to-16 Line Decoder | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | 2 | Active | The MC14514B and MC14515B are two output options of a 4 to 16 line decoder with latched inputs. |
MC14516BBinary Up/Down Counter | Unclassified | 5 | Active | The MC14516B synchronous up/down binary counter is constructed with MOS P-channel and N-channel enhancement mode devices in a monolithic structure. This counter can be preset by applying the desired value, in binary, to the Preset inputs (P0, P1, P2, P3) and then bringing the Preset Enable (PE) high. The direction of counting is controlled by applying a high (for up counting) or a low (for down counting) to the UP/DOWN input. The state of the counter changes on the positive transition of the clock input.Cascading can be accomplished by connecting the Carrybar Outbar to the Carrybar Inbar of the next stage while clocking each counter in parallel. The outputs (Q0, Q1, Q2, Q3) can be reset to a low state by applying a high to the reset (R) pin. This CMOS counter finds primary use in up/down and difference counting. Other applications include: (1) Frequency synthesizer applications where low power dissipation and/or high noise immunity is desired, (2) Analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversions, and (3) Magnitude and sign generation. |
MC14517BDual 64-Bit Static Shift Register | Logic | 4 | Active | The MC14517B dual 64-bit static shift register consists of two identical, independent, 64-bit registers. Each register has separate clock and write enable inputs, as well as outputs at bits 16, 32, 48, and 64. Data at the data input is entered by clocking, regardless of the state of the write enable input. An output is disabled (open circuited) when the write enable input is high. During this time, data appearing at the data input as well as the 16-bit, 32-bit, and 48-bit taps may be entered into the device by application of a clock pulse. This feature permits the register to be loaded with 64 bits in 16 clock periods, and also permits bus logic to be used. This device is useful in time delay circuits, temporary memory storage circuits, and other serial shift register applications. |

MC14520BDual BCD Up Counter | Counters, Dividers | 3 | Active | The MC14518B dual BCD counter and the MC14520B dual binarycounter are constructed with MOS P-channel and N-channel enhancement mode devices in a single monolithic structure. Each consists of two identical, independent, internally synchronous 4-stage counters. The counter stages are type D flip-flops, with interchangeable Clock and Enable lines for incrementing on either the positive-going or negative-going transition as required when cascading multiple stages. Each counter can be cleared by applying a high level on the Reset line. In addition, the MC14518B will count out of all undefined states within two clock periods. These complementary MOS up counters find primary use in multi-stage synchronous or ripple counting applications requiring low power dissipation and/or high noise immunity. |
