MIC375025A Low Voltage LDO Regulator | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | 3 | Active | The MIC37501 and MIC37502 are 5A, low dropout linear voltage regulators that provide low-voltage, high-current outputs with a minimum of external components. They offer high precision, ultra-low dropout (500mV), and low ground current.
The MIC37501and MIC37502 operate from an input of 2.3V to 6.0V. They are designed to drive digital circuits requiring low voltage at high currents (i.e., PLDs, DSPs, microcontrollers, etc.). They are available in fixed and adjustable output voltages. Fixed voltages include 1.5V, 1.65V, 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V. The adjustable version is capable of 1.24V to 5.5V.
MIC37501 and MIC37502 LDOs feature thermal and current limit protection, and reverse current protection. Logic-enable and error flag pins are available.
Junction temperature range of the MIC37501/02 is -40°C to 125°C.
For applications requiring input voltage greater than 6.0V, see MIC3910x, MIC3915x, MIC3930x, and MIC3950x LDOs. |
MIC3775750mA Low Voltage uCap LDO | Power Management (PMIC) | 18 | Active | The MIC3775 is a 750mA low dropout linear voltage regulator that provides low-voltage, high-current output from an extremely small package. Utilizing proprietary Superβeta PNP® pass element, the MIC3775 offers extremely low dropout (typically 280mV at 750mA) and low ground current (typically 7.5mA at 750mA).
The MIC3775 is ideal for PC add-in cards that need to convert from standard 5V to 3.3V or 3.0V, 3.3V to 2.5V, or 2.5V to 1.8V or 1.65V. A guaranteed maximum dropout voltage of 500mV over all operating conditions allows the MIC3775 to provide 2.5V from a supply as low as 3.0V and 1.8V or 1.5V from a supply as low as 2.25V.
The MIC3775 is fully protected with overcurrent limiting, thermal shutdown, and reverse leakage protection. Fixed and adjustable output voltage options are available with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. |
MIC3808Push-Pull DC/DC Controller w/Turn On Threshold of 12.5V | Power Management (PMIC) | 5 | Active | The MIC3808 and MIC3809 are a family of complementary output push-pull PWM control ICs that feature high speed and low power consumption. The MIC3808/9 are ideal for telecom level (36V to 75V) isolated step down DC/DC conversion applications where high output current, small size, and high efficiency are required.
The dual-ended push-pull architecture of the MIC3808/9 allows more efficient utilization of the transformer than single-ended topologies, allowing smaller size DC/DC solutions. Additionally, the out-of-phase push-pull topology allows a higher effective duty cycle, reducing input and output ripple as well as stress on the external components. The dead-time between the two outputs is adjustable between 60ns to 200ns, limiting the duty cycle of each output stage to less than 50%.
The MIC3808/9 are built on a low-power, high-speed BiCMOS process. The 130µA start-up current and 1mA run-current reduce the size of the start-up circuitry and allow high efficiency even at light loads. The high-speed internal 4MHz error amplifier allows MIC3808/9 operation up to 1MHz.
The MIC3808 has a turn-on threshold of 12.5V whereas the MIC3809 has a lower turn-on threshold of 4.3V. Both devices are available in SOP-8 and MSOP-8 package options with an operating range of -40°C to +85°C. |

MIC381501.5A Ultra Low Noise Power Module (HELDO®) | Power Supplies - Board Mount | 1 | Active | The MIC38150 is a 1.5A continuous output current step down converter. This is a follow on product in the new High Efficiency Low DropOut Regulators (HELDO®) family, that provide the benefits of an LDO with respect to ease of use, fast transient performance, high PSRR and low noise while offering the efficiency of a switching regulator.
As output voltages move lower, the output noise and transient response of a switching regulator become an increasing challenge for designers. By combining a switcher whose output is slaved to the input of a high performance LDO, high efficiency is achieved with a clean low noise output. The MIC38150 is designed to provide less than 5mV of peak-to-peak noise and over 70dB of PSRR at 1kHz. Furthermore, the architecture of the MIC38150 is optimized for fast load transients allowing the output to maintain less than 30mV of output voltage deviation even during ultra fast load steps. This makes the MIC38150 an ideal choice for low voltage ASICs and other digital ICs.
The MIC38150 features a fully integrated switching regulator and LDO combination, operates with input voltages from 3.0V to 5.5V input and offers adjustable output voltages down to 1.0V. |

MIC384Three Channel Temperature Sensor | Temperature Sensors | 7 | Active | The MIC384 is a versatile digital thermal supervisor capable of measuring temperature using its own internal sensor and two inexpensive external sensors or embedded silicon diodes such as those found in the Intel Pentium III\* CPU. A 2-wire serial interface is provided to allow communication with either I2C\*\* or SMBus\* masters. The open-drain interrupt output pin can be used as either an over-temperature alarm or a thermostatic control signal.
Interrupt mask and status bits are provided for reduced software overhead. Fault queues prevent nuisance tripping due to thermal or electrical noise. A programmable address pin permits two devices to share the bus. (Alternate base addresses available – contact Micrel.) Superior performance, low power and small size makes the MIC384 an excellent choice for multiple zone thermal management applications.
