Magnasphere Corp has developed the patented, award-winning Magnasphere switch technology that replaces decades-old, vulnerable magnetic reed switches used in security systems. The Magnasphere switch uses a magnet ball inside the contact that operates within a defined activation zone, providing superior security against magnetic tampering.

Unlike reed switches which activate within a broad zone, Magnasphere switches respond only within a restricted zone and only to correctly oriented magnets. This technology overcomes the inherent weaknesses of reed switches (fragility, magnetic tamper susceptibility, size) while retaining beneficial characteristics like non-contact actuation and sealed contacts.
