The AL5811 is an adjustable Linear LED driver offering excellent temperature stability and output handling capability. The AL5811 simplifies the design of linear and isolated or non-isolated LED drivers by setting the LED current with standard value resistors. The AL5811 has an open drain output that can swing from 1V up to 60V enabling it drive long LED chains. Its low 0.5V RSETpin is outside of the LED current path and so accuracy is maintained while minimizing the required overheads to regulate the LED current. This reduces its power dissipation when compared to traditional linear LED drivers. This makes it ideal for driving LEDs up to 75mA (commonly referred to as 1/4W LEDs). Longer LED chains can be driven by tapping VCC from the chain, where the chain voltage may exceed 60V. The AL5811 is available in the exposed pad MSOP-8EP and U-DFN3030-6 packages.

The AL5814 is an 8-terminal adjustable linear LED driver-controller offering excellent temperature stability and output current capability. It works with a wide input voltage range from 4.5V to 60V. With an external LED driving power device, its internal power dissipation is minimized compared with traditional linear LED drivers. This makes it ideal for medium to high current LED circuits.

The AL5815 and AL5816 are 5-terminal adjustable constant current LED linear controllers offering excellent temperature stability and current capability. They can work with a wide input voltage range from 4.5V to 60V. With its low 200mV current sense FB voltage, it controls the regulation of LED current with minimum power dissipation compared with traditional linear LED drivers. This makes it ideal for medium to high current LEDs.

The AL5822 is a 100Hz/120Hz LED current ripple suppressor for LED lighting applications. Combined with a pre-stage APFC LED driver, the AL5822 circuitry can efficiently suppress the low frequency (100Hz/120Hz) LED current ripple from the APFC output, thus eliminate the low frequency flickering for various LED lamps.

The AL58221 is a 12-channel (R/G/B x 4), constant-current, Adaptive Pulse Density Modulation (APDM) LED driver which operates over a 3V~5.5V input voltage range. The device provides 12 open-drain constant-current sinking outputs that are rated to 24V and delivers up to 60mA of high-accuracy current to each string of LED. Each channel’s average output current can be individually programmable through a digital interface. The current at each output is set by three external current-setting resistors.
