LT13761.5A, 500kHz Step-Down Switching Regulators | Power Management (PMIC) | 10 | Active | The LT1375/LT1376 are 500kHz monolithic buck mode switching regulators. A 1.5A switch is included on the die along with all the necessary oscillator, control and logic circuitry. High switching frequency allows a considerable reduction in the size of external components. The topology is current mode for fast transient response and good loop stability. Both fixed output voltage and adjustable parts are available.A special high speed bipolar process and new design techniques achieve high efficiency at high switching frequency. Efficiency is maintained over a wide output current range by using the output to bias the circuitry and by utilizing a supply boost capacitor to saturate the power switch. A shutdown signal will reduce supply current to 20μA on both parts. The LT1375 can be externally synchronized from 580kHz to 900kHz with logic level inputs. The LT1375/LT1376 fit into standard 8-pin PDIP and SO packages, as well as a fused lead 16-pin SO with much lower thermal resistance. Full cycle-by-cycle short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown are provided. Standard surface mount external parts are used, including the inductor and capacitors. For low input voltage applications with 3.3V output, see LT1507. This is a functionally identical part that can operate with input voltages between 4.5V and 12V.ApplicationsPortable ComputersBattery-Powered SystemsBattery ChargerDistributed Power |
LT1377500kHz and 1MHz High Efficiency 1.5A Switching Regulators | Voltage Regulators - DC DC Switching Regulators | 2 | Active | The LT1372/LT1377 are monolithic high frequency switching regulators. They can be operated in all standard switching configurations including boost, buck, flyback, forward, inverting and "Cuk." A 1.5A high efficiency switch is included on the die, along with all oscillator, control and protection circuitry. All functions of the LT1372/LT1377 are integrated into 8-pin SO/PDIP packages. The LT1372/LT1377 typically consumes only 4mA quiescent current and has higher efficiency than previous parts. High frequency switching allows for very small inductors to be used. All surface mount components consume less than 0.5 square inch of board space.New design techniques increase flexibility and maintain ease of use. Switching is easily synchronized to an external logic level source. A logic low on the shutdown pin reduces supply current to 12µA. Unique error amplifier circuitry can regulate positive or negative output voltage while maintaining simple frequency compensation techniques. Nonlinear error amplifier transconductance reduces output overshoot on start-up or overload recovery. Oscillator frequency shifting protects external components during overload conditions.ApplicationsBoost RegulatorsCCFL Backlight DriverLaptop Computer SuppliesMultiple Output Flyback SuppliesInverting Supplies |
LT1389Nanopower Precision Shunt Voltage Reference | PMIC | 6 | Active | The LT1389 is a nanopower, precision shunt voltage reference. The bandgap reference uses trimmed precision thin-film resistors and improved curvature correction techniques to achieve 0.05% initial voltage accuracy with guaranteed 10ppm/°C maximum temperature drift. Voltage regulation is maintained to an ultralow 800nA operating current. Advances in design, processing and packaging achieve low temperature cycling hysteresis. The LT1389 does not require an output compensation capacitor, but is stable with capacitive loads. Low dynamic impedance makes the LT1389 reference easy to use from unregulated supplies. The LT1389 reference can be used as a high performance upgrade to the LM185/LM385, LT1004, LT1034 and LT1634 where lowest power and guaranteed temperature drift are required.ApplicationsPortable MetersPrecision RegulatorsA/D and D/A ConvertersCalibrators |
LT13947ns, Low Power, Single Supply, Ground-Sensing Comparator | Comparators | 2 | Active | The LT1394 is an UltraFast (7ns) comparator with complementary outputs and latch. The input common mode range extends from 1.5V below the positive supply down to the negative supply rail. Like the LT1016, LT1116 and LT1671, this comparator has complementary outputs designed to interface directly to TTL or CMOS logic. The LT1394 may operate from either a single 5V supply or dual ±5V supplies. Low offset voltage specifications and high gain allow the LT1394 to be used in precision applications. The LT1394 is designed for improved speed and stability for a wide range of operating conditions. The output stage provides active drive in both directions for maximum speed into TTL, CMOS or passive loads with minimal cross-conduction current. Unlike other fast comparators, the LT1394 remains stable even for slow transitions through the active region, which eliminates the need to specify a minimum input slew rate. The LT1394 has an internal, TTL/CMOS compatible latch for retaining data at the outputs. The latch holds data as long as the LATCH pin is held high. Device parameters such as gain, offset and negative power supply current are not significantly affected by variations in negative supply voltage.ApplicationsHigh Speed A/D ConvertersZero-Crossing DetectorsCurrent Sense for Switching RegulatorsExtended Range V/F CovertersFast Pulse Height/Width DiscriminatorsHigh Speed TriggersLine ReceiversHigh Speed Sampling Circuits |

LT1413Single Supply, Dual Precision Op Amp | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | 1 | Active | The LT1413 is a low cost, upgraded version of Analog Technology’s industry standard LT1013 dual, single supply op amp. The LT1413 is optimized for single 5V applications, although ±15V specifications are also provided for completeness. In the design of the LT1413, particular emphasis has been placed on low cost plastic and SO-8 package performance: 60µV offset voltage, 0.1nA offset current, in excess of 10mA output current at 330µA supply current and 140dB channel separation are some of the specifications achieved.Other dual, single supply amplifiers are available to complement the LT1413 family: the micropower LT1078’s supply current is 10 times lower with a 4.5 fold speed performance degradation compared to the LT1413. Conversely, the LT1211, LT1213 and LT1215 duals have 4 to 14 times higher supply current, but also 13 to 50 times higher speed.ApplicationsSingle Supply SystemsTwo and Three Op Amp Instrumentation AmplifiersActive FiltersBattery-Powered SystemsStrain Gauge and Bridge Amplifiers |
