ADSP-SC594Up to 1 GHz Dual-SHARC+®DSP w/ Integrated Arm®Cortex®-A5 | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | 2 | Active | Reaching speeds of up to 1 GHz, the ADSP-SC59x processors are members of the SHARC®family of products. TheADSP-SC59xprocessor is a dual-SHARC+®core DSP that doubles the audio performance of its single-SHARC+ core ADSP-2156x predecessor and adds an integrated Arm Cortex-A5 core, also running at up to 1 GHz. The A5 processor, with FPU and Neon®DSP extensions, handles additional real-time processing tasks and manages peripherals used to interface to time-critical data in audio applications. These interfaces include Gigabit Ethernet, USB High-Speed, CAN FD, and a rich variety of other connectivity options for a flexible and simplified system design.TheADSP-SC59xSHARC processors are members of the SIMD SHARC family of digital signal processors (DSPs) that feature Analog Devices, Inc., Super Harvard Architecture. These 32-bit/40-bit/64-bit floating-point processors are optimized for high performance audio/floating-point applications with large on-chip static random-access memory (SRAM), multiple internal buses that eliminate input/output (I/O) bottlenecks, and innovative digital audio interfaces (DAI). New additions to the SHARC+ core include cache enhancements and branch prediction, while maintaining instruction set compatibility to previous SHARC products.By integrating a rich set of industry-leading system peripherals and memory (see Table 1 in the data sheet), the SHARC+ processor is the platform of choice for applications that require programmability similar to reduced instruction set computing (RISC), multimedia support, and leading edge signal processing in one integrated package. These applications span a wide array of markets, including automotive, professional audio, and industrial-based applications that require high floating-point performance.ApplicationsAutomotive:audio amplifier, head unit, ANC/RNC, rear seat entertainment, digital cockpit, ADASConsumer & Professional Audio:speakers, sound bars, AVRs, conferencing systems, mixing consoles, microphone arrays, headphones |
ADSP-SC598Up to 1 GHz Dual-SHARC+ DSP w/ Integrated Arm®Cortex®-A55 | DSP (Digital Signal Processors) | 1 | Active | Reaching speeds of up to 1 GHz, the ADSP-SC598/SC596/SC595 processors are members of the ADSP-SC59x SHARC®family of products. Containing the same dual-SHARC+®DSP core architecture as the ADSP-SC594/SC592/SC591, these processors upgrade the integrated Arm core to a Cortex-A55 running at up to 1.2 GHz. The A55 processor, with FPU and Neon®DSP extensions, handles additional real-time processing tasks and manages peripherals used to interface to time-critical data in audio applications. These interfaces include Gigabit Ethernet, USB High-Speed, CAN FD, and a rich variety of other connectivity options for a flexible and simplified system design. The ADSP-SC59x SHARC processors are members of the SIMD SHARC family of digital signal processors (DSPs) that feature Analog Devices, Inc., Super Harvard Architecture. ADSP-TS101S300 MHz TigerSHARC Processor with 6 Mbit on-chip SRAM | Embedded | 3 | Active | The ADSP-TS101S TigerSHARC®processor is an ultrahigh performance, Static Superscalar™processor optimized for large signal processing tasks and communications infrastructure. The DSP combines very wide memory widths with dual computation blocks—supporting 32- and 40-bit floating-point and 8-, 16-, 32-, and 64-bit fixed-point processing—to set a new standard of performance for digital signal processors. The TigerSHARC processor’s Static Superscalar architecture lets the processor execute up to four instructions each cycle, performing 24 fixed-point (16-bit) operations or six floating-point operations.Three independent 128-bit-wide internal data buses, each connecting to one of the three 2M bit memory banks, enable quad word data, instruction, and I/O accesses and provide 14.4G bytes per second of internal memory bandwidth. Operating at 300 MHz, the ADSP-TS101S processor’s core has a 3.3 ns instruction cycle time. Using its single-instruction, multiple-data (SIMD) features, the ADSP-TS101S can perform 2.4 billion 40-bit MACs or 600 million 80-bit MACs per second. Table 1 and Table 2 in the data sheet show the DSP’s performance benchmarks. |
