AD8551Zero-Drift, Single-Supply, RRIO Single Op Amp | Linear | 2 | Active | This family of amplifiers has ultralow offset, drift, and bias current. The AD8551, AD8552, and AD8554 are single, dual, and quad amplifiers featuring rail-to-rail input and output swings. All are guaranteed to operate from 2.7 V to 5 V with a single supply. The AD8551/AD8552/AD8554 provide the benefits previously found only in expensive auto-zeroing or chopper-stabilized amplifiers. Using Analog Devices, Inc. topology, these new zero-drift amplifiers combine low cost with high accuracy. No external capacitors are required. With an offset voltage of only 1 μV and drift of 0.005 μV/°C, the AD8551/AD8552/AD8554 are perfectly suited for applications in which error sources cannot be tolerated. Temperature, position and pressure sensors, medical equipment, and strain gage amplifiers benefit greatly from nearly zero drift over their operating temperature range. The rail-to-rail input and output swings provided by the AD8551/AD8552/AD8554 make both high-side and low-side sensing easy. The AD8551/AD8552/AD8554 are specified for the extended industrial/auto motive temperature range (−40°C to +125°C). The AD8551 single amplifier is available in 8-lead MSOP and 8-lead narrow SOIC packages. The AD8552 dual amplifier is available in 8-lead narrow SOIC and 8-lead TSSOP surface-mount packages. The AD8554 quad is available in 14-lead narrow SOIC and 14-lead TSSOP packages.ApplicationsTemperature sensorsPressure sensorsPrecision current sensingStrain gage amplifiersMedical instrumentationThermocouple amplifiers |

AD8555Digitally Programmable Sensor Signal Zero-Drift Amplifier | Instrumentation, Op Amps, Buffer Amps | 4 | Obsolete | The AD8555 is a zero-drift, sensor signal amplifier with digitally programmable gain and output offset. Designed to easily and accurately convert variable pressure sensor and strain bridge outputs to a well-defined output voltage range, the AD8555 also accurately amplifies many other differential or single-ended sensor outputs. The AD8555 uses the ADI patented low noise auto-zero and DigiTrim®technologies to create an incredibly accurate and flexible signal processing solution in a very compact footprint.Gain is digitally programmable in a wide range from 70 to 1,280 through a serial data interface. Gain adjustment can be fully simulated in-circuit and then permanently programmed with proven and reliable poly-fuse technology. Output offset voltage is also digitally programmable and is ratiometric to the supply voltage. In addition to extremely low input offset voltage and input off-set voltage drift and very high dc and ac CMRR, the AD8555 also includes a pull-up current source at the input pins and a pull-down current source at the VCLAMP pin. This allows open wire and shorted wire fault detection. A low-pass filter function is implemented via a single low cost external capacitor. Output clamping set via an external reference voltage allows the AD8555 to drive lower voltage ADCs safely and accurately. When used in conjunction with an ADC referenced to the same supply, the system accuracy becomes immune to normal supply voltage variations. Output offset voltage can be adjusted with a resolution of better than 0.4% of the difference between VDD and VSS. A lockout trim after gain and offset adjustment further ensures field reliability. The AD8555 is fully specified over the extended industrial temperature range of −40°C to +125°C. Operating from single-supply voltages of 2.7 V to 5.5 V, the AD8555 is offered in the narrow 8-lead SOIC package and the 4 mm × 4 mm 16-lead LFCSP. |

AD8564Quad 7 ns Single Supply Comparator | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | 6 | Active | The AD8564 is a quad 7 ns comparator with separate input and output supplies, thus enabling the input stage to be operated from ±5 V dual supplies or a 5 V single supply while maintaining a CMOS-/TTL-compatible output.Fast 7 ns propagation delay makes the AD8564 a good choice for timing circuits and line receivers. Independent analog and digital supplies provide excellent protection from supply pin interaction. The AD8564 is pin compatible with the MAX901 and has lower supply currents. All four comparators have similar propagation delays. The propagation delay for rising and falling signals is similar, and tracks over temperature and voltage. These characteristics make the AD8564 a good choice for high speed timing and data communications circuits. For a similar single comparator with latch function, refer to the AD8561 data sheet. The AD8564 is specified over the industrial temperature range (−40°C to +125°C). The quad AD8564 is available in the 16-lead TSSOP, 16-lead narrow body SOIC, and 16-lead plastic DIP packages.APPLICATIONSHigh speed timingLine receiversData communicationsHigh speed V-to-F convertersBattery operated instrumentationHigh speed sampling systemsWindow comparatorsPCMCIA cardsUpgrade for MAX901 designs |
