AD8128CAT-5 Receiver with Adjustable Line Equalization | Drivers, Receivers, Transceivers | 2 | Active | The AD8128 is a high speed, differential receiver/equalizer that compensates for the transmission losses of unshielded twisted pair (UTP) CAT-5 cables. Various frequency dependent gain stages are summed together to best approximate the inverse frequency response of CAT-5/CAT-5e cable. An equalized bandwidth of 120 MHz can be achieved for 100 meters of cable. The AD8128 can be used as a standalone receiver/equalizer or in conjunction with the AD8143, triple differential receiver, to provide a complete low cost solution for receiving RGB over UTP cable in such applications as KVM.The AD8128 has three control pins for optimal CAT-5/CAT-5e compensation. The equalized cable length is directly proportional to the voltage applied to the VPEAKpin, which controls the amount of high frequency peaking. VGAINadjusts the broadband gain from 0 dB to 3 dB, compensating for the resistive cable loss. VOFFSETallows the output to be shifted by ±2.5 V, adding flexibility for dc-coupled systems.Low integrated output noise and offset voltage adjust make the AD8128 an excellent choice for dc-coupled wideband RGB-overCAT-5 applications. For systems where the UTP cable is longer than 100 meters, two AD8128 devices can be cascaded to compensate for up to 200 meters of CAT-5/CAT-5e.The AD8128 is available in a 3 mm × 3 mm 8-lead LFCSP and is rated to operate over the extended temperature range of −40°C to +85°C.ApplicationsKeyboard-video-mouse (KVM)RGB video over unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable receiversProfessional video projection and distributionSecurity video |

AD813Single Supply, Low Power Triple Video Amplifier | Amplifiers | 5 | Active | The AD813 is a low power, single supply triple video amplifier. Each of the three current feedback amplifiers has 50 mA of output current, and is optimized for driving one back terminated video load (150W). The AD813 features gain flatness of 0.1 dB to 50 MHz while offering differential gain and phase error of 0.03% and 0.06°. This makes the AD813 ideal for broadcast and consumer video electronics. The AD813 offers low power of 5.5 mA per amplifier max and runs on a single +3 V power supply. The outputs of each amplifier swing to within one volt of either supply rail to easily accommodate video signals. While operating on a single +5 V supply the AD813 still achieves 0.1 dB flatness to 20 MHz and 0.05% & 0.05° of differential gain and phase performance. All this is offered in a small 14-pin plastic DIP or SOIC package. These features make this triple amplifier ideal for portable and battery powered applications where size and power are critical. The outstanding bandwidth of 125 MHz along with 500 V/µs of slew rate make the AD813 useful in many general purpose, high speed applications where a single +3 V or dual power supplies up to ±15 V are needed. Furthermore the AD813 contains a high speed disable function for each amplifier in order to power down the amplifier or high impedance the output. This can then be used in video multiplexing applications. The AD813 is available in the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C in plastic DIP and SOIC packages as well as chips. |

AD8132Low Cost, High Speed Differential Amplifier | Amplifiers | 4 | Active | The AD8132 is a low cost differential or single-ended input to differential output amplifier with resistor set gain. The AD8132 is a major advancement over op amps for driving differential input ADCs or for driving signals over long lines. The AD8132 has a unique internal feedback feature that provides output gain and phase matching balanced to −68 dB at 10 MHz, suppressing harmonics and reducing radiated EMI.Manufactured using the next-generation of Analog Devices, Inc., XFCB bipolar process, the AD8132 has a −3 dB bandwidth of 350 MHz and delivers a differential signal with −99 dBc SFDR at 5 MHz, despite its low cost. The AD8132 eliminates the need for a transformer with high performance ADCs, preserving the low frequency and dc information. The common-mode level of the differential output is adjustable by applying a voltage on the VOCM pin, easily level shifting the input signals for driving single-supply ADCs. Fast overload recovery preserves sampling accuracy. The AD8132 is also used as a differential driver for the trans-mission of high speed signals over low cost twisted pair or coaxial cables. The feedback network can be adjusted to boost the high frequency components of the signal. The AD8132 is used for either analog or digital video signals or for other high speed data trans-mission. The AD8132 is capable of driving either a Category 3 or Category 5 twisted pair or coaxial cable with minimal line attenuation. The AD8132 has considerable cost and performance improvements over discrete line driver solutions.Differential signal processing reduces the effects of ground noise that plagues ground-referenced systems. The AD8132 can be used for differential signal processing (gain and filtering) throughout a signal chain, easily simplifying the conversion between differential and single-ended components. The AD8132W is the automotive grade version, qualified for 125°C operation per the AEC-Q100. See the Automotive Products section for more details. The AD8132 is available in both 8-lead SOIC and 8-lead MSOP packages for operation over the extended industrial temperature range of −40°C to +125°C.ApplicationsLow power differential ADC driversDifferential gain and differential filteringVideo line driversDifferential in/out level shiftingSingle-ended input to differential output driversActive transformersAutomotive driver assistanceAutomotive infotainment |
