ADUM3200Dual-Channel, Digital Isolator, Enhanced System-Level ESD Reliability | Isolators | 14 | Active | The ADuM3200 /ADuM3201are dual-channel, digital isolators based on the Analog Devices, Inc.,iCoupler®technology. Combining high speed CMOS and monolithic transformer technology, these isolation components provide outstanding performance characteristics superior to alternatives such as optocoupler devices.By avoiding the use of LEDs and photodiodes,iCoupler devices remove the design difficulties commonly associated with optocouplers. The typical optocoupler concerns regarding uncertain current transfer ratios, nonlinear transfer functions, and temperature and lifetime effects are eliminated with the simpleiCoupler digital interfaces and stable performance characteristics. The need for external drivers and other discrete components is eliminated with theseiCoupler products. Furthermore,iCoupler devices consume one-tenth to one-sixth the power of optocouplers at comparable signal data rates. The ADuM3200 / ADuM3201 isolators provide two independent isolation channels in a variety of channel configurations and data rates (see the Ordering Guide). They operate with 3.3 V or 5 V supply voltages on either side, providing compatibility with lower voltage systems as well as enabling voltage translation functionality across the isolation barrier. The ADuM3200W and ADuM3201W are automotive grade versions qualified for 125°C operation. In comparison to the ADuM1200 / ADuM1201 isolators, the ADuM3200 / ADuM3201 isolators contain various circuit and layout changes to provide increased capability relative to system-level IEC 61000-4-x testing (ESD, burst, and surge). The precise capability in these tests for either the ADuM1200 / ADuM1201 or ADuM3200 / ADuM3201 products is strongly determined by the design and layout of the user’s board or module. ADUM320N5.7 kV RMS/3.0 kV RMS Dual Digital Isolators | Digital Isolators | 9 | Active | The ADuM320N/ADuM321Nare dual-channel digital isolators based on Analog Devices, Inc.,iCoupler®technology. Combining high speed, complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) and monolithic air core transformer technology, these isolation components provide outstanding performance characteristics and meet CISPR 32/EN 55032 Class B limits at 5 Mbps. The maximum propagation delay is 10 ns with a pulse width distortion of less than 3 ns at 5 V operation. Channel matching is hard at 3.0 ns maximum. The ADuM320N/ADuM321N data channels are independent and are available in a variety of configurations with a withstand voltage rating of 5.7 kV RMS and 3.0 kV RMS (for more information, see the Ordering Guide section of the data sheet). The devices operate with the supply voltage on either side ranging from 2.25 V to 5.5 V, providing compatibility with lower voltage systems as well as enabling voltage translation functionality across the isolation barrier. Two different fail-safe options are available, by which the outputs transition to a predetermined state when the input power supply is not applied.ApplicationsInvertersPower suppliesIndustrial field bus isolationPWM controller signal isolationGeneral-purpose multichannel isolationProtected by U.S. Patents 5,952,849; 6,873,065; 6,903,578; and 7,075,329. ADUM32243kVrmsIsolated Precision Half-Bridge Driver, 4A Output for Automotive | Isolators | 5 | Active | TheADuM3224/ADuM4224are 4 A isolated, half-bridge gate drivers that employ the Analog Devices, Inc.,iCoupler®technology to provide independent and isolated high-side and low-side outputs. The ADuM3224 provides 3000 V rms isolation in the narrow-body, 16-lead SOIC package, and the ADuM4224 provides 5000 V rms isolation in the wide-body, 16-lead SOIC package. Combining high speed CMOS and monolithic transformer technology, these isolation components provide outstanding performance characteristics superior to the alternatives, such as the combination of pulse transformers and gate drivers. The ADuM3224/ADuM4224 isolators each provide two independent isolated channels. They operate with an input supply ranging from 3.0 V to 5.5 V, providing compatibility with lower voltage systems. In comparison to gate drivers employing high voltage level translation methodologies, the ADuM3224/ADuM4224 offer the benefit of true, galvanic isolation between the input and each output. Each output can be continuously operated up to 537 V peak relative to the input, thereby supporting low-side switching to negative voltages. The differential voltage between the high-side and low-side can be as high as 800 V peak.As a result, the ADuM3224/ADuM4224 provide reliable control over the switching characteristics of IGBT/MOSFET configurations over a wide range of positive or negative switching voltages.APPLICATIONSSwitching power suppliesIsolated IGBT/MOSFET gate drivesIndustrial inverters |
