The FAN54020 is a USB-compliant single-cell Li-Ion switching charger with support for Dead Battery Provision (DBP). Maximum charge current is rated at 1.5 A.The FAN54020 conforms to all the constraints for the Dead Battery Provision (DBP) within the BC1.2 specification, including a 30-minute timer that cannot exceed 45 minutes per BC1.2.The FAN54020 is designed to be stable with space-saving ceramic capacitors.The FAN54020 can operate as a boost regulator on command from the system. The boost regulator includes a soft-start that limits inrush current from the battery.The FAN54020 is available in a 25-bump, 0.4 mm pitch, Wafer-Level Chip-Scale Package (WLCSP).
